- Station 19 season 4: What’s next?
- A new cast in play?
- Premiere date and new time slots are taken care of
Complementing the showrunner and team, ABC Entertainment’s president Karey Burke said, “Krista Vernoff is an exceptional storyteller and there is the talented cast and crew – we’re excited that this addictive show is hitting series’ highs this year for a reason, and we can’t wait to tell more great stories to our passionate audience.”
Station 19 season 4: What to expect
Station 19 season 3 left the audience with a major cliffhanger as Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) found that her entire childhood has been a lie. Her mom is still alive. Talking to Deadline, show-runner Krista Vernoff said, “Every time I watch that cut, Jaina and I gasp at that moment. It changes her [Andy]. She is having a reckoning, it is a period in her life where all comes tumbling down at once, and delusions fall away, and what she believed from childhood turns out to be a lie. The biggest questions are, why did her dad lie to her? Why did her mom even participate in this lie? What actually happened? I think all these questions will be answered in season 4.”
Even Burke told Deadline, “People can expect several tent-pole crossover episodes between these series [Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19] throughout the season. They will revolve around major events. Additionally, relationships between characters from the two shows will develop as well.”
A new cast coming in?
No new additions have been reported yet, so we can safely say that Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz), Grey’s Anatomy alumni Ben (Jason George), Jack (Grey Damon), Vic (Barrett Doss), Travis (Jay Hayden), Dean (Okieriete Onaodowan), Maya (Danielle Savre), and Robert (Boris Kodjoe) will be there in the season 4.
However, fire chief Lucas Ripley (Brett Tucker), Captain Pruitt Herrera (Miguel Sandoval), and Ryan Tanner (Alberto Frezza) lost their lives in the previous season, so we can rule them out.
Premiere date and new time slot
Creator Krista Vernoff officially confirmed season 4 with ABC earlier in 2020. However, due to the current pandemic, the show has been put on hold. It was supposed to premiere in December this year or January 2021. However, it is safe to say that the ball might be rolling again from spring 2021. For those who watch the series on ABC, the Disney-owned network has pushed Station 19 to the 9 pm slot from 8 pm. ABC is yet to announce the 8 pm show.
