‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3 is set to release a week early on Netflix! Here is everything you need to know before binge-watching the Netflix series.
Netflix show, Cobra Kai is based on Robert Mark Kamen’s iconic movie franchise, ‘Karate Kid’. The story follows around the reopening of the Cobra Kai karate dojo by Johnny Lawrence and the rekindle with arch-rival, Daniel LaRusso. Cobra Kai originally released on YouTube Red as a premium series. But after Netflix acquired its rights, fans can’t wait for its season 3 release.

Cobra Kai’s Johnny Lawrence has an early New Year surprise for its fans!
‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3 is ready to release on Netflix on 1st January 2021. Netflix had earlier announced that the new season would release around 8th January 2021. Actor William Zabka who plays the role of Johnny Lawrence unveiled the new premiere date through a video on Netflix’s ‘Cobra Kai’ page.
In the video, we saw Johnny Lawrence sitting in front of his computer looking at the Netflix page for Cobra Kai season 3 details. He saw the release date as of January 8 and said: “Nah, too long”. He then changed the release date to January 1, 2021.
The official ‘Cobra Kai’ Twitter account also announced the news with Johnny Lawrence:
“QUIET! I heard you all whining about season 3 taking forever. So I called the pawnshop and the guy walked me through this Netflix thing. Dude knows his stuff. Now you get it a week early. See you Jan 1, nerds – Johnny Lawrence”.
‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3 cast details
According to rumours, can expect two cast members of ‘Karate Kid’ the movie to join Johnny and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) on the season three of ‘Cobra Kai’. Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) and Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) will reprise their ‘Karate Kid 2’ roles on the popular Netflix show.
The cast will also include Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso), Jacob Bertrand (Hawk), Gianni Decenzo (Demetri), Courtney Henggeler (Amanda LaRusso), XoloMaridueña (Miguel Diaz), Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene), Martin Kove (John Kreese) and Peyton List (Tory). Season three of ‘Cobra Kai’ has another surprise for its viewers. The cast of Cobra Kai will chat with David Spade, Fortune Feimster, and London Hughes on ‘The Netflix Afterparty’ on 2nd January.

What will unfold in Season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’?
Even though ‘Cobra Kai’ is largely about the various progenies, it is still the story of arch-rivals Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. Both of them got ample of opportunities in season 1 and season 2 of ‘Cobra Kai’ to go against each other that further seeped into their rival dojos and trainees. It also resulted in a major fight inside the high school.
Fans are expecting a massive confrontation to take place between Johnny and Daniel. However, after watching the trailer of ‘Cobra Kai’ Season three many fans were left surprised. Through the trailer, it seems that both of them will finally come together to take down the bigger bad guy of season 2, John Kreese, who stole the ‘Cobra Kai’ dojo out from Johnny. One of the major plots of season three of ‘Cobra Kai’ is Johnny’s son Robby’s future. In season 2 of ‘Cobra Kai’, Robby joined Miyagi-Do and fell in love with Sam. But after seeing Sam and Miguel kiss, Robby initiated a fight with Miguel at the high school. Robby badly injured Miguel by kicking him over a stairwell banister.
