Thankfully not! ‘Solar Opposites’ Season 2 is officially set to premiere in March on Hulu. Coming from the brains of Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan, the first season of the animated adult comedy released on the streaming service on May 8. The good part is that the gap between seasons is less than a year, which is unique in this state of the world (pandemic ridden).
‘Solar Opposites’ came with a two-season order when the show was announced. It just was a matter of when season 2 would premiere and it was announced soon after.

Release date of ‘Solar Opposites’ Season 2
Recently, in an explicit teaser released by Hulu on YouTube, the premiere date for Season 2 was revealed to be March 26, 2021. The next segment is expected to be of the same duration consisting of eight episodes, and all of them will release at the same time for instant binging.
The series is carrying the burden of Hulu’s adult animation ambitions on its shoulders. The only other show in this genre on the streaming service’s original catalogue is ‘Crossing Swords’. The latter was released just a month after ‘Solar Opposites’. ‘Crossing Swords’ has also been renewed for season 2, but the release date has not yet been revealed.
On the other hand, ‘Solar Opposites’ has already been renewed for a third season. The third season will expand to 12 episodes.
The teaser of Season 2 promises more hijinks. The video shows the alien family taking off to depart Earth in their spaceship, only for it to crash. Moreover, the crash leads to the neighbour’s house setting on fire seconds later.
