As ‘Money Heist’ Season 5 gets closer to the start of production, we’re hunting for clues about how our favourite leader, Berlin, is alive and can come back in the next season.
Money Heist Season 5 is on its way and here are some clues that say Berlin might be alive. Read on!
Raise your hands if you, too, believe that Berlin is alive!
Berlin (played by Pedro Alonso) is one of the most-loved characters in ‘Money Heist’. Though many think that he is a kind of misogynist and prick at a time, he is also witty, lives life to the fullest, loves with all devotion, and has never been the kind of man who leaves work undone.
- Heist on Royal Mint was Berlin’s plan
- Leaving Tatiana Behind? No way
- Lack of well-stocked protective gear
- But what does Pedro Alonso think about the scenario?
That’s why it was a shocker for the fans when he took all the bullets in his chest and died in season 2. It seemed out of character to many. With all the weapons and gears they took to heist Royal Mint of Spain, it was shocking that they didn’t wear a bulletproof jacket and were left to die.
With the announcement of season 5 release, speculations of Berlin being alive is gaining traction. So, here we have brought you some glaring clues that Berlin is alive and kicking.
Heist on Bank of Spain was Berlin’s plan
Although, the professor was carrying out his brother’s reference with the help of his brother’s best friend, Palmero, the plan to heist the Bank of Spain was Berlin’s brainchild.
He only introduced the idea to the professor. But dying so suddenly is unnatural. We haven’t even seen his dead body. Therefore, the speculation of Berlin being alive is born. It is believed that he might be in police custody.
Leaving Tatiana Behind? No way
As we have heard Berlin say, he has been married five times, but that also means that he has given a chance to love five times. Therefore, a man like Berlin, who is so devoted to loving his wife, Tatiana (played by Diana Gomez), would never bring her to the monastery and get her involved with the heist if he knew he might die during it to leave her a widow.
Berlin didn’t even give the professor a message to pass on to Tatiana while he was dying. We never saw her reaction to Berlin’s death. So there is a high possibility that Berlin might be in police custody and Tatiana is secretly working behind the scenes so that they can run away together.
Lack of well-stocked protective gear
There’s no way Berlin hadn’t planned an escape after the heist knowing that he might have to go head to head with the police without wearing any protective gear like bullet-proof jacket along with weapons. Since he was the real brain behind the heist, this scenario is unbelievable to most fans.
So, if he hadn’t died in the shoot, he might be in police custody being tortured for information. Trading information and going behind the back of his crew in return of release also seems improbable, knowing the character of Berlin. There are high chances he gave fake information to the police, mixed with a little bit of truth that they already know.
So, Berlin can walk away free and may reappear in ‘Money Heist’ Season 5. Totally possible!
But what does Pedro Alonso think about the scenario?
Since the death of Berlin in ‘Money Heist’ Season 2, we have seen him on multiple occasions in flashbacks. For example, we saw him marry Tatiana in season 4, before he took part in the Royal Mint heist, or with the professor as they discussed stealing from the Bank of Spain. These flashbacks left fans longing for Berlin to return in the next season.
While actor Pedro addressed these fan theories, he said, “After Berlin died, it was funny to see how, for a lot of people, it was impossible to believe that he actually died. They are still hopeful that he is going to come back to life, somehow”.
