Shameless Season 11’s Plot:
The story of Shameless revolves around the Gallaghers—an Irish American family living in the South Side of Chicago. When the alcoholic dad fails to take care of his six children, the responsibility of all siblings falls on the shoulders of the eldest daughter, Fiona. Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl, and Liam, are hence mostly raised by their sister. With each episode, the fans explore a crazy day in the lives of this dysfunctional family as they try to make do with what they have.
However the long-running show demonstrates huge growth in the personal lives of the Gallaghers demonstrate tremendous growth. Shameless actress Emma Kenney, who plays Deborah “Debbie” Gallagher, confirmed through an Instagram post on her account that production of the show’s 11th and final season has been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. She wrote in the caption of a photo uploaded on March 18, 2020, “We were supposed to start production on our 11th and final season today, but unfortunately/fortunately, we have been shut down indefinitely until this health crisis is over. So here’s a lil throwback. Missin my Gallaghers.”
Even though Showtime is yet to announce a release date of season 11, fans can now expect two-to-three month delay at the very minimum. However, it will be fair for them to expect a fall 2020 or spring 2021 release date for Shameless season 11.
