What happened in the finale of ‘Search Party’ Season 3?
In the last season i.e. season 3 of ‘Search Party’, we witnessed Dory being declared not guilty for the murder of Keith, the private investigator (played by Ron Livingston). Taking a sigh of relief after the torturous times she underwent, she gets another shock, just before the credits started rolling.
Expected plotline of ‘Search Party’ Season 4
Season 4 of ‘Search Party’ will pick up in the aftermath of this shocking cliffhanger. In the official trailer, released recently, it’s revealed that Dory’s season 3 stalker (Cole Escola) has successfully kidnapped her. He has taken her to an underground lair. Viewers of the series have seen in the trailer that he’s recreated her apartment and made dolls of her and her friends – Elliott (Early), Drew (Reynolds), and Portia (Hagner).
Elliott, Drew, and Portia try to find Dory in a variety of seedy places. But the problem is that they are ill-equipped to locate her. Despite this, they’ve just spent three seasons wrapped up in a similar mystery.

Seeing the trailer, it is clear that the new season of ‘Search Party’ will be heightening both the horror and the comedy of everyone’s circumstances this season. In between moments of true terror, we will get to see some comic dozes provided by Dory’s friends Drew, Elliott, and Portia. Be it donning ridiculous disguises for reasons we couldn’t possibly guess or the prospect of going on another hunt for a missing friend, and discussing a royal family member’s nip-slip, three of them have made the audiences laugh in moments of terror.
The best thing that came out of the trailer is that we are going to see a lot of Sarandon, who is also on the hunt for Dory and looks fabulous doing it.
‘Search Party’ Season 4 will premiere on HBO Max on Thursday, January 14 with first three episodes. Another three episodes will release on January 21. And on January 28, the final four episodes will be aired.
