Peaky Blinders Season 6 cast addition
There’s news of actor Stephen Graham’s addition to the cast of Peaky Blinders in Season 6. According to the director Steven Knight plans are already underway to loop in Stephen Graham in an upcoming season of Peaky Blinders.
The actor is known for portraying similar roles in This Is England as Combo and Atticus in Taboo. The actor has also played the notorious gangster Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire for four years.
However, it is not confirmed if Steven Knight plans to introduce Stephen Graham in the immediate season 6. But at the moment season 6 hold’s the highest possibility of his addition.
Apart from the show’s protagonist, Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby) is likely to be joined by Sophie Rundle, Paul Anderson and Harry Kirton. The most interesting comeback to watch will be that of Natasha O’Keeffe as Lizzie Shelby in Season 6.
Peaky Blinders Release Date
Peaky Blinders has seen the most erratic release dates. Season 1 premiered in 2013 and it took almost two years for Season 2’s release. Subsequently, season 3 and 4 were announced in the year 2016 and 2017, respectively.
However, season 5 came out after almost a gap of two years in 2019. Therefore, there’s no official announcement on Peaky Blinders Season 6 release date.
As per our deduction, Peaky Blinders season 6 is likely to release in 2021. Recently, Peaky Blinder’s official Twitter account posted the first page of their Season 6 Episode 1 script.
The first episode is titled ‘Black Day’ and is written by Steven Knight. However, they blurred out the lines of the release date. But, if you try and push harder, it’s seemingly evident that Peaky Blinders Season 6 is scheduled for a January 2021 release.
Peaky Blinders Season 5 Finale Episode Recap
Season 5 of Peaky Blinders saw a terrific ending in the show’s run till date. Tommy’s mental trauma culminates him into placing a revolver against his head with the voice of his dead wife simultaneously echoing in his mind.
Tommy’s trauma stems from a mental condition – PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) that brushes from his World War I experiences. Apart from this, Tommy’s mental health is further deteriorated owing to his compulsive drinking and smoking habits.
Throughout, season 5 Tommy hallucinates about his dead wife Grace which does him more harm than good. The same happens to Shelby in the final scenes of the fifth season forcing him to take his own life.
But uncertainty looms over Shelby’s lifeline as the show ended on a cliffhanger. Thereby, giving its fans a concrete reason to wait for Peaky Blinders Season 6.
