It’s all in the punch for this famous comic adaptation
One-Punch Man is a Japanese anime that has grabbed a lot of attention and recognition since its first release back in 2015. Its subsequent season released years later in 2019, and while not completely up to the mark, it still kept its dedicated followers hooked and made new ones in the process.
The first season revolves around his life as an average hero who can defeat his enemies with a single punch. However, the ease with which he defeats the villains bores him as it lacks the thrill of a real fight.
So he’s always on the lookout for stronger opponents to feel the real adrenaline of defeating them. However, his life takes an interesting turn when he joins the Hero Association along with his disciple, Genos.
Depending on how you see it, season 2 was a bit underwhelming as compared to season 1. The animation was a letdown and the fighting scenes were not very impactful. However, we are still very excited about the next season’s release. But will that be happening at all? Let’s find out!
The makers of the show haven’t released an official statement on the matter. But various sources suggest that we might get to see the release in the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. However, the pandemic situation can lead to its further delay.

But while the previous season was released after a long gap of four years, it might not be the case this time around. According to Nation Editions—
“Authorities didn’t reveal the recharging of One-Punch Man for season three. Be that as it may, a third season will show up later because season 2 previously left many things to set up another season. The individuals are additionally requesting the new season, and this show, as we know, is top of the line so it will get some more seasons.”
Another thing the website reports is how the show can be postponed due to the lack of substance but we can hang tight—
“Makers are gathering all the material as they take motivation from the manga books with the goal that it will require some investment now. Thus, we can unhesitatingly say that season 3 will show up before the expected time in 2022.”
What to expect in season 3?
Many things are left unanswered from the last season, so let’s hope for more exciting revelations and in-depth character developments in the next season
Since season 2 ended on an unsatisfying note, it’s safe to assume that many questions will be answered in the upcoming season. Throughout the last two seasons, Saitama has been on a lookout for an opponent who he can have a challenging fight with. Maybe he’ll finally find someone to test his prowess on.
Also, season 2 didn’t seem to focus much on Saitama’s character development which disappointed us fans greatly. So hopefully this situation will be rectified soon.
Then, of course, there is the mystery behind Garou who’s taken to the Monster King Lord Orochi. While he’s the villain, maybe he’ll finally decide to side with the heroes this time, bringing more out of the character than we expected. The possibilities are endless, so let’s hope they are all good when finally revealed in the next season!
