The Much Awaited Season
Even though there was hardly any doubt that Saitama our hero in One Punch Man will be returning for a Season 3 given the exponential success the series holds, a confirmation has put our minds to rest.
A promising third season is probably going to introduce and focus on the cut-throat rivalry between Hero Association and it’s counterpart Monster Association. Of course when you’re a hero who can defeat your enemies with one single punch, there are going to be plenty of people who will want you out of the picture.
For the audience there might not be a man as charming as our hero Saitama but for his rival Speedo Sound Sonic, there is no one he wants to defeat more in his life. The battle between them is clearly going to be epic and without a doubt intense.
Here’s what we should be expecting from our One Punch Man characters.
Things To Expect In Season 3
The only thing we can be certain at this point is about Saitama’s love for being a hero (even though that cost him hair) and Speedo Sound Sonic’s aversion to him for choosing to be a hero.
But like any good villain who we love to hate, Sonic too appreciates Saitama’s immense power of the one-punch. In season 2, he agrees to his obsession with Saitama and says that the only way he can stop pursuing Saitama would be to fight him and ultimately win.
But theirs is a cute little love story. Although, Sonic can’t wait to have a fair battle with Saitama, his earlier attempts at that have been refuted by Saitama himself. Saitama sees no sense in fighting Sonic because heroes don’t generally find the need to prove they are heroes to anyone and if they do, well, there’s a chance they have a little Sonic in them.
And the only time Sonic has promised to not get in Saitama’s way is when Saitama is fighting monsters. So, we can definitely be expecting a lot of monsters in Season 3. (Sonic is nothing if not a stand-up guy for keeping his word)
Why Is One Punch Man So Popular?
Many of you who have made it down till here might be wondering what is so special about this Manga Anime Series that everyone is so crazy about.
The charm of the series firstly lies with Saitama our lead character who isn’t close to any super-hero you find on screen (excluding Hulk). Saitama, you see, did not want to become a superhero for reasons that are obvious. He became one because he was simply bored.
In addition to that, the cities in the series which many of the villains break down like they were cheap plastic models, hold a certain charm and a character of their own. And Saitama doesn’t bother with saving them until the very last moment when he casually glides through the chaos and ends it all with: One-Single-Punch. Because he is, after all, One Punch Man.
The production of the show is stellar too. It doesn’t bore you with long narratives. It’s quick with a story arc to keep you interested and an epic fight with wonderful, dynamic sound effects amplifying the series to the next level for it’s audience.
So, there is no doubt why the series is such a big hit globally and why the audience could not wait any longer for Season 3 to hit their screens. Worry not, this Pandemic filled world is about to become slightly better because you have your reel life superhero bringing you some relief aid this year!
