It’s no surprise that Netflix renewed it’s one of the best sci-fi series “Lost in Space” for a Season 3 release. However, what bothers the fans of the popular series is the fact that even after half a year of renewal announcement, no release date has been announced. Guess what? The release date of “Lost in Space” 3rd Season has been confirmed, and it’s not far.

In 2018, in the form of the great revival of half a century old series “Lost in Space”, fans were flattered to finally get a mature take of the story. Both the seasons of Lost in Space, that premiered on 13th April 2018 and 24th December 2019 respectively were received warmly and were loved by the fans. Now, the wait for Season 3 is getting unbearable.
When will Netflix release Lost in Space Season 3?
When Netflix released Lost in Space Season 2, fans were pretty sure that Season 3 renewal announcement would follow soon with a release date. However, to their momentary disappointment, no renewal announcement came. It was only a couple of months after the Season 2 when Netflix announced the renewal. On March 9, 2020, Netflix and Variety confirmed that Lost in Space will be back with a new season. However, when it will be back, was not answered.
Thanks to the sources intimate to Netflix, we have come to know the release date of Lost in Space Season 3.
As per the sources, Lost in Space Season 3 is planned for a March 2021 release. The date is not confirmed yet, however, it’s expected to release in the pre-summer season. The first season of Lost in Space was also released in April, the summer season, and the 3rd Season is also expected to premiere around the same season.

Lost in Space (2018) is a reimagining of the 1965 series of the same name, which itself was a reimagining of the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann David Wyss. The core story of all the reboots follows the adventures of a family of space colonists whose spaceship veers off course.
The history of the adaptations of The Swiss Family Robinson has given the fans multiple nightmares. The first CBS’ TV Series adaptation of 1965 was disliked by the fans for its too cheesy approach towards the story. The second attempt in form of a sci-fi adventure film, directed by Stephen Hopkins, was released in 1998. And the film failed miserably on commercial terms and as well as on critical terms. The third attempt was made by the director John Woo in 2004. The series named “The Robinsons: Lost In Space” never moved ahead of the piolet and remained unaired.
After so many failed attempts, when the latest TV series adaptation was released, it finally marked one worthy take of the story. Season 1 & 2 both have been received well by the fans. Now, it remains to be seen on Lost in Space Season 3 release if the show will conclude to be the best overall take of the story.

There are some of the characters in season 2, who were either supposedly killed or sacrificed themselves. Ben Adler (JJ Field) and Dr. Smith (Parker Posey’s), are the two characters whose return seems uncertain as we are not sure if they survived and are set to return for the last season.
