Lost in Space, the 2018 Netflix series, is a reimagining of the 1965 TV series of the same name. The 1965 series was already an adaptation of the 1812 novel “The Swiss Family Robinson” by Johann David Wyss.
The storyline of the novel was also adapted by a 1998 movie “Lost in Space”. However, not only both the previous adaptations failed miserably on the box-office, they were heavily criticized for their cheesy and cringe take of the story.
