Netflix Spain shared a video of the Money Heist gang getting back to shoot season 5. Also, Itziar Ituño may have given us a spoiler for the plot in the upcoming season. And let’s warn you, that’s a pretty big one.
Bank of Spain, beware! The doomsday robbers are back. One of Netflix’s most popular series Money Heist is back to shoot for the fifth season.
Highlights
- Money Heist gang back to shoot season 5
- Itziar Ituño’s major reveal
- Release date updates of Money Heist season 5
The streaming partner’s Spanish Twitter account shared a clip of the cast and Itziar Ituño, who plays Lisbon, dropped the biggest hint that potentially could signal the end of robbery.
Gang starts shooting for season 5
The cast of La Casa De Papel or Money Heist is back to shoot for the fifth season. Everyone appears excited in the video titled Volvemos, which translates to “we return”. Alvaro Morte, who plays The Professor in the show, was already in character. Fans could see him fiddling with his glasses in his element.
He shared his excitement: “What excites me most about filming again is reuniting with all the people.”
Season 4 broke the hearts of fans all over the world when Nairobi was killed by Gandia. Many found plot holes in the Nairobi-Gandia track and felt that she died unnecessarily. Fans are hopeful for a Nairobi-resurrection in season 5.
Although the gang suffered the major blow with Nairobi’s death, Lisbon entry in the last episode pulled them together for their next mission.
Now that they have Gandia back in custody, there’s no looking back.
Spoiler alert! Lisbon just gave it away? We hope not
This could be the last season for Money Heist. Everyone will die except Tokyo (Ursula Corbero), she said.
Tokyo is the one who is narrating the story, so she is someone who is going to live up to the end. She was the first person recruited by The Professor to help him steal millions from the Royal Mint.

She has managed to escape every time she was caught by the authorities.
“Redditor redpa1ntt suggests the reason Tokyo is the narrator is because she’s the only one who survives the heists.
“While we’ve lost some members along the way, the majority of the gang members are from the original eight in S1.”
But another Reddit user hit back and said, “But, it’s very unlikely that the writers will kill everyone and the theory about Tokyo narrating this story is weird because the show ended in S2 and it didn’t matter that she was the one narrating.”
Money Heist ended after season 2 but it was Netflix that continued it till season 5. So, the theory of Tokyo being the sole survivor and Money Heist ending with season 5 could be a farce.
Release date yet?
None at all. The cast and crew are tight-lipped. It is not spilling any information regarding filming or a premiere date on Netflix. We can expect the heist to by the spring next year. Though not official, April 2021 seems like the most probable time.
