Has NBC announced a renewal of the show for season 8, owing to its popularity and the demand of the fans? We would want nothing more than this. But since there has been no official statement, let’s see how strong the possibility of renewal is!
The 7th season of ‘Parks and Recreation’ aired from January 13 to February 24, 2015, on NBC. The seventh season of the satirical series comprised of 13 episodes.
What does the cast look like?
The show is based out of a fictional town in Indiana, where a perky, mid-level bureaucrat starring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knop works in the Parks Department of Pawnee. The show telecasted on NBC from April 9, 2009, to February 24, 2015.
The star cast includes Paul Schneider as Mark Brendanawicz, Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins, Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson, Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford, and Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate.
Parks and Recreation season 1 to 7 consists of 125 episodes.
Other cast members include Chris Pratt as Andy Dwyer, Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt, Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger, Jim O’Heir as Jerry Gergich, Retta as Donna Meagle, and Billy Eichner as Craig Middlebrooks.
What the show is about?
The makers of the show researched local California politics for the satirical series. The show features real-life politicians for short appearances like Senator John McCain, running for POTUS 2020 Joe Biden, and ex-First Lady Michelle Obama.
‘Parks and Recreation’ has received several nominations during its course. These include 14 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a nomination for the best television show at the Golden Globe Award.
The show was listed as the number one television series in the year 2012 by TIME’s magazine. In 2013, ‘Parks and Recreation’ won the Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy.
And even though now ‘Parks and Recreation’ is one of the most cherished sitcoms, season 1 got the show off to a rough start.
The mockumentary style of ‘Parks and Recreation’ is similar to ‘The Office’. There is still no official confirmation of season 8 of ‘Parks and Recreation’ but we hope to see one soon.
What happened in the previous seasons?
In season 7 of ‘Parks and Recreation’, Ron and Leslie become foes as a result of Ron’s action. Ron tore down Ann’s heritage house only to build an apartment instead.
We also saw Ben plead Gryzzl, a technology company, to bring free Wi-Fi to Pawnee.
Thereafter, Gryzzl dives in extensive data mining where Ron’s new construction company-Very Good Building-has been taking care of the construction needs in order to reconnect with Leslie to address the issue. Meanwhile, Leslie is pregnant with triplets.
Fans can’t wait to see what turn a potential renewal could take. With so many angles left to explore, we don’t think it’s too far-fetched a dream to expect a renewal.
