Messiah Plot
The thriller web series is about a man who suddenly appears in Syria from nowhere and claims to have been sent by his ‘father’ (who nobody knows about).
Besides, the man is on a mission where he forms his own cult. His case is being followed by the CIA (Central Investigation Agency) as they doubt he is more of an evil man than a God’s man.
What Twitter Has To Say

Messiah is an American web thriller series by writer Michael Petroni. Meanwhile, the trailer of Messiah dropped on Youtube on December 3, 2019.
Viewers claim the storyline seemed to have an anti-christ reference.
A tweet for the show’s trailer asks, “Who do you think he is? Watch ‘Messiah’ on Netflix”. The most common answer was an — Anti-christ.
Obviously, the show’s trailer is receiving flak on social media so much so that the producers of the show have taken the call of postponing Messiah on Netflix.
Who is Al-Masih? Why Is He Called An Anti-Christ?
Within minutes of its release, the trailer of the Messiah clocked millions of views, with many users pointing out the name of the main character Al-Masih or Dajjal (played by Mehdi Dehbi).
Seemingly, Al-Masih ad-Dajjal is a wicked figure or a con man. He is also translated as the deceiving Messiah or the Anti-Christ. Most importantly, with the trailer out, users may have already revealed the twist in the Netflix series and it has more religious controversy looped in.
The first Season of Season 1 of Messiah on Netflix will have 10 episodes.
Al-Masih ad-Dajjal is an evil figure in Islamic theology involving life after death. To put it across in simpler terms, the title has people claiming a lack of religious sensitivity. Moreover, Masih means Messiah and Dajjal mean a lie. Therefore, he is a figure of importance in connection to the end of the world.
Therefore, Dajjal is believed to deceive the people of the world as he gains an International cult in the show. Evidently, the teachings bear resemblance to the Antichrist in Christianity.
