The very sensual Sunny Leone may soon feature in a web show based on Kamasutra. As per the reports, Sunny Leone and Ekta Kapoor have been in talks from a few months. Now, it seems like she is in talks with Sunny Leone for the leading role.
We all know Ekta Kapoor is known for her unique projects whether it’s a film or a web series. Also, she is the founder of ALTBalaji. Now, Ekta Kapoor is working on several projects on various platforms. With her digital platform ALTBalaji, she is currently working on web show based on Kamasutra.
Sunny Leone may lead a web series based on the Hindu erotic text, Kamasutra.
Sunny Leone has reportedly heard the outline of the story and has given her NOD. Since they had worked together in Ragini MMS2, Ekta Kapoor found Sunny Leone to be the right choice for the part.
The Kamasutra is an ancient Indian Sanskrit text on sexuality, eroticism and emotional fulfillment in life. Kamasutra has earlier inspired a few films, including Mira Nair’s directorial that featured Rekha and Indira Varma. Kamasutra A Tale of Love was nominated for the Golden Seashell award at the 1996 San Sebastián International Film Festival. It was also screened at the Cannes Film Festival and was initially banned in India and Pakistan due to its erotic theme.
Sunny Leone aka Karenjit Kaur, who has spent seven years in the film industry, recently told an entertainment portal, “I love working here. I have met some really nice people, some whom I got know a little bit, some not so much. The ones I have met here and there have been very nice. I think we all live in our own bubbles. Actors and actresses don’t exactly make, and I include myself in this statement, the greatest of friends because we are always so busy working, traveling, doing so many different things.”
Sunny Leone was last seen in a biopic on her own life titled Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone and looks like she is all set for her next venture Kamasutra.
