Fans have gone frenzy and already missing Frank Underwood.
Kevin released a 1 minute Christmas video on YouTube a month back and since then it has send his fans and critics into frenzy. Is Kevin signaling return to House of Cards season 7? Fans rejoiced when they heard him speaking to the camera in the memorable tone. “You didn’t really think I was going to miss the opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas did you?”
Speculations are rife ever since he donned the Frank Underwood cap, sitting near the fireplace and doing the undertone accent of Frank Underwood. Will the House of Cards that collapsed abruptly be built again? Will the fans get to see the much awaited House of Cards season 7?
Critics call the video cringeworthy
After the video titled “let me be frank”, this is yet another addition where he is evidently defending sexual allegations against him. Post metoo era earned him a great deal of notoriety when ghost from his ugly past came haunting. It nearly marked the end of his career as since misconduct allegations surfaced, he has not found any good work. During this period he has earned hatred like his abominable character Frank underwood.
Kill them with kindness. Seriously!
Norwegian author, Ari Behn, one of the people to accuse him committed suicide. He had accused Spacey of groping him during Nobel peace prize ceremony. Another message therapist who accused him also dropped the lawsuit. However spacey never directly responded to any allegations. He parted the video by saying these lines. “The next time someone does something you don’t like, you can go on the attack. But you can also hold your fire, and do the unexpected. You can…kill them with kindness”.
The concluding lines in the video though seems like the man is indirectly pointing to his plaintiffs. Looks like Kevin Spacey for some time can breathe a sigh a relief. But Kill them with kindness dialogue has not gone too well in some section and he was trolled for being cunning like his character.
House of Cards season 7 is on the cards
Season 6 of House Of Cards was reduced to 8 episodes instead of 13 full episode seasons like earlier ones. Though Claire Underwood filled in the shoe by pulling an equally cunning character but Frank was missed by the fans. The show earned rave reviews since it began. It was the first original of Netflix but met its abrupt end after the allegations surfaced.
Only time will tell if metoo proved to be the last nail in the coffin for Frank Underwood. Until then let’s part with his famous quote from the show that also signals hope “January is a tough month. It’s cold and dark, the days are short and you’re constantly stuck inside. Well, fear not my friends, there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
