‘Killing Eve’: A morbid obsession adorned with dark humour
‘Killing Eve’ is the story of Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), an agent who becomes obsessed with a female assassin named Villanelle and starts tracking her down. Villanelle (Jodie Comer) a.k.a. Oksana Astankova is a sociopathic, trained assassin who too finds herself obsessing over Eve, wondering why she is tracking her. Eventually, Eve and Villanelle meet and realise that the people in their respective secret circles are connected in more ways than what they were aware of. Instead of following the orders given to them, they soon develop a strange relationship focused on getting to know more about each other.
Often being labelled as a queer-bait, the series has quite a fascinating take on sexuality, obsession, and death. The series successfully has given BBC America the biggest ratings it has ever seen. ‘Killing Eve’ brings a uniqueness to the world of television that it had been missing out on of late. With immaculate reviews, the series has captured the attention of viewers, season after season, with its extraordinary scriptwriting, cinematography, and camera work.
Villanelle: The undisputed queen of fashion
The series has often been in news for its fashion. So, today we are bringing you our pick of the top 5 outfits that Villanelle has rocked over the years!
1/5
To meet Carolyn, Villanelle wears this embellished Prince of Wales check coat by Y/PROJECT. She pairs it with wide-leg trousers and a creme frayed jumper by Uma Wang. This outfit from an episode of season 3 screams “fashion queen” any day!
2/5
Who says you should ever dress down? For her golf/assassination outing in Aberdeen, Scotland, Villanelle made green her colour in a feathered jacket by Charlotte Knowles and trousers by Gucci. The look is definitely one of her more ambitious ones and had jaws hitting floors!
3/5
This look from season 2 is one of her most elegant ones. Dressed in a white men’s shirt and high wasted brown loose pants, paired with a brown leather belt and a sweater draped over her shoulders, Villanelle painted a picture of vintage wealth. She is shown to be heading to Oxford in this outfit and is surely dressed appropriately for it.
4/5
This look from the season 2 finale definitely went well with the urgency of the entire episode. As Villanelle and Eve team up to evade danger in Rome, Villanelle wears a red top and trouser co-ods with a black Gucci belt looking absolutely ravishing.

Just when you thought that you will never get to see her in a lovely pink dress, Villanelle turned every head with this spectacular tulle Molly Goddard dress. This look has ended up becoming one of her more iconic ones!
