Easter eggs connecting to the Hill House
The story of the Crain family came to a terrific end in Season 1. Flanagan confirmed that their arc is complete and that fans will get a new storyline, with a new haunted house. The shooting for Haunting of Bly Manor wrapped up in February, escaping any delay.
“There’s not a narrative connection, but there are little Easter eggs for sure,” Flanagan told Entertainment Weekly that fans would get to see some of the ideas from The Haunting of the Hill House, not just in small details but also in dialogues and particular moments.
Not a narrative connection, but little Easter eggs for sure.
Director Mike Flanagan on connection between The Haunting of Hill House and Haunting of Bly Manor
Furthermore, he said that there will be moments that will give fans a little dopamine rush – just as “those kinds of connections create”. However, the director outright rejected any direct connection between the two seasons from the point of view of the storyline and plot.
Storyline, Release date – What we know so far
So, we know for sure Director Mike Flanagan is quite excited about the Bly Manor storyline. Likewise, fans can’t wait for its release sitting locked down and patiently waiting for some chills.
Moving on, Flanagan also shared his views about how great it is to play around in Henry James’ world, “…[but] You can skip rocks off of The Turn of the Screw.”
It seems like Netflix has opened up an entire library of ghost stories. Flanagan is excited about a lot of stuff that is yet unadapted on the screen. Moreover, he has said that the “Turn of the Screw” is really just a way into the treasure that James has left.
“Turn of the Screw” will not be the only gem from Henry James’ treasure that Netflix and Mike Flanagan will look to adapt.
Flanagan hinted that not just the second season, but there could be other Haunting seasons too in the future on Netflix that come straight out of Henry James’ supernatural library. We might get to see it happening as soon as The Haunting of Hill House Season 3

The insights just Haunting of Bly Manor is gonna be much more frightening than The Haunting of Hill House. Looking at Flanagan’s brilliance and “Turn of Screws”, fans are surely up for a spine chilling experience once again.
