‘Hart of Dixie‘ revolved around Dr Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) and her journey of becoming a doctor and more. She aspired to become a heart surgeon like her father, Dr Ethan Hart (Gary Cole). However, when her dream of becoming a surgeon comes crashing down, Zoe decides to move to Bluebell, Alabama. Since its cancellation in 2015, fans of the drama series have been expecting it to make a return.

A ‘Hart of Dixie’ reboot in 2021?
The popular CW series revolved around New York City surgeon, Dr Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson), and her medical journey. ‘Hart of Dixie’ abruptly ended in 2015 after four seasons. With numerous classic show reboots planned for 2021, will ‘Hart of Dixie’ also be part of the lineup? Die-hard fans of the show have been requesting for a reboot with the iconic characters of the show. But what does Rachel Bilson think about reprising her role of Zoe on ‘Hart of Dixie’? In an interview with “Distractify”, Rachel Bilson spoke about the possibility of a ‘Hart of Dixie’ reboot.
“I would hope so, honestly“, said Bilson. She further mentioned how she has such a good feeling when she thinks about the show ‘Hart of Dixie’. Bilson also confessed to “Distractify” that she would love to reprise her beloved role of Zoe once again on-screen. Bilson recalled the cast members who worked on the show and how much she still loves them all. She knows everyone and shares an extremely special bond and felt that everyone would want to do the show again.
“I would love to do it if the opportunity arises, for sure”, said Bilson.
When told about the ‘Hart of Dixie’s’ ever-increasing fanbase, Rachel laughed and said: “I hope the right people are listening then.”

She mentioned that she had seen some of the messages. It made her feel extremely good as many people had been watching ‘Hart of Dixie’ as an escape from the pandemic.
“That made me really happy and grateful that people responded to the show in that way.”
Wilson Bethel talks about a ‘Hart of Dixie’ reboot in 2021
Wilson Bethel, who played the role of Wade Kinsella on ‘Hart of Dixie’, also spoke about the possibility of a reboot in 2021. During promotion for his series ‘All rise’, Bethel was asked if he would be up for the popular show’s revival.
“I do not see why not. Yeah, I would love to. Nothing would make me happier than to work with all of those folks again. Some of them are my dearest friends”
Bethel also spoke about how ‘Hart of Dixie’ was the real highlight of his career; hence he would love to be part of it once again. His character Wade, alongside Rachel Bilson as Zoe Hart, became the reason for the show’s increasing popularity.
Keeping the series ending in mind, Bethel spoke about what the show could feature if a ‘Hart of Dixie’ revival happens in the future.
“If we are talking about an actual timeline, Wade is the dad of a three or four-year-old now, so that is a scary thought—Wade as a dad!”
Though he added that he would love to see what that would look like.
‘Hart of Dixie’ ended abruptly
The beginning of season 4 of ‘Hart of Dixie’ reconciled Zoe and Wade together. Soon they got to know they were expecting a baby. The last season also saw Lemon and Lavon getting together. We also got to see Zoe and Wade fight about not wanting to get married. But Zoe quickly changes her mind and plans to pop the big question. The proposal gets accidentally taken over by Lemon who thinks Lavon has set it up to ask her to marry him. However, Lemon soon finds out the truth.
George and Annabeth’s relationship also faces its challenges when the former accepts a job in Nashville. At the end of the season, Zoe and Wade have a wedding. They also soon become the parents of a baby boy. In a flash-forward, we also find Lemon and Lavon getting married while Georga and Annabeth gave their relationship another chance in Nashville.
