Next in the line of victims of Coronavirus is the budding love between oldies Grace and Frankie on season 7.
- Love in the times of Coronavirus
- Forget the release dates of season 7 of Grace and Frankie
- Coronavirus kills the joy of Grace and Frankie breaking record
After getting their jaws-dropped (literally) on season 6 cliffhanger finale, Coronavirus scare has further sickened the old-aged buddies Grace and Frankie. Don’t expect them to be recovering and returning so soon for Grace and Frankie season 7.
Love in the times of Corona-virus
Since the frenemies have turned into besties, fans are eager to see Grace and Frankie taking their relationship to the next level. Grace’s wedding announcement with Nick did not go too well with Frankie on 1st episode of season 6.
We noted her dismay. Lately, even Grace is reconsidering her decision of getting married to Nick. She finds herself in a suffocating relationship and only Frankie helps her forget and rejuvenate herself. The ongoing track has fans demanding that Grace and Frankie end up together.
Not just the fans, according to screenrant, even the showrunner Marta Kauffman, who also famously co-created the 90’s hit series Friends admitted that her daughter also wants the palpable chemistry to solidify with a wedding lock.
But to the disappointment of fans, Marta is not seconding the thought of Grace and Frankie ending up on a romantic note. She feels that their relationship is beyond the nitty-gritty of marriage. Visit this link to know more about what Marta Kauffman thinks about the future of the relationship between Grace and Frankie on the last season 7.
So Grace and Frankie’s love-story track is marred in the times of Coronavirus, but for this disappointment, the virus can’t be blamed.
Forget the release dates of season 7 of Grace and Frankie
On September 4th 2019, it was announced that seasoned actors Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will grace the screens as Grace and Frankie for one last time on season 7. The twitter account of Grace and Frankie shared the news of season 7.
The final season 7 of 16 episode-set of Grace and Frankie was supposed to release of January 2021. But Coronavirus lockdown has halted the production of season 7 of Grace and Frankie, on the lines of most productions shutting shop amid Coronavirus scare.
This might impact the premiere of season 7. Now the fans and experts are left clueless on the release date of Grace and Frankie. It is fair to assume that Grace and Frankie season 7 release will be postponed by a few weeks.
Coronavirus kills the joy of Grace and Frankie breaking the record
Netflix’s premier comedy series brought seasoned actors Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin together to weave magic on the screen became a critically applauded show in a short while. The series was backed by Netflix all through and was given green signal for season 7 even before season 6 of Grace and Frankie premiered in January 2020. With the upcoming season, the series is set to create a record on Netflix for being the longest-running show on the platform.
Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris shared the excitement while speaking to Variety—
“It’s thrilling and somehow fitting, that our show about the challenges, as well as the beauty and dignity of aging, will be the oldest show on Netflix.”
But Coronavirus has thrown water on the excitement of record making and breaking on Grace and Frankie season 7. We will have to wait for long to see Grace and Frankie return after recovering from Coronavirus, returning back stronger, and break the record on season 7.
