Quiz Time: Which Teen Wolf Character Are You Most Like?
The cast and supernatural plot are two major reasons to watch Teen Wolf
The series features an exceptionally talented cast, and they have great chemistry with each other. The Teen Wolf cast includes Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien in the titular characters as Scott and Stiles. The other regular cast members include Crystal Reed (Allison), Tyler Hoechlin (Derek), Holland Roden (Lydia) and Shelley Hennig (Malia) among others.
The show follows Scott McCall, a high school student who gets bitten by an alpha werewolf, the night before school starts. Scott is unpopular and usually hangs out with his best friend Stiles, who has a knack for solving mysteries.
Scott’s once-ordinary life transforms as he begins to develop heightened physical abilities and senses as a young werewolf. To make matters worse, Scott begins to develop romantic feelings for the new girl Allison, who comes from a family of werewolf hunters.
The story unravels in the fictional Californian town of Beacon Hills, which is (literally) a beacon for supernatural activity. Scott must adjust to his new life as a werewolf and along with Stiles, fight supernatural creatures like banshees and hellhounds. They both give up their regular teenage lives in order to protect their hometown.

The best thing about Teen Wolf is the bromance
Here’s another reason for you to watch Teen Wolf again : Scott and Stiles’ friendship and camaraderie. Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien play the perfect childhood best friends and their on-screen chemistry is unmissable. They fight supernatural creatures, stand up for each other at all times, and have gone through a great ordeal.
The show’s creator too agrees that the real romance on Teen Wolf is the bromance between the two. Dylan as Stiles has witty, sarcastic one-liners that brought comic-relief to the show, and Tyler’s fearless, badass demeanor was seriously intense.
Another factor that makes Teen Wolf great is how it depicted the ‘angsty teenagers in high school’ life. There was a supernatural factor, sure, but the series never ignored the challenges faced by high school teenagers. Whether it is pining for the popular girl, to navigating through a relationship with parents or just having to grow up, it is not easy being a teen who is burdened with the fate of their town.
The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat
We’d happily watch Teen Wolf again, at any hour of the day. There’s no reason to dismiss the idea because what’s there not to like? It’s well-written, full of humour, and the characters maneuver the most terrifying situations with a smile. The supernatural creatures in the show have a certain complexity to them. Some do have malevolent intentions but some of them are just trying to do the right thing.
It’s unpredictable and you really don’t know what will happen next. Teen Wolf feels familiar, with its striking storyline, relatable characters and compelling story arcs that get you hooked. The show-runners attempted to make something different when werewolf fiction was already quite popular. Scott and Stiles change dramatically, trying to adapt to the situation around them.
The series also featured strong female characters like Lydia and Allison that we saw transform throughout the series. These women are not trying to fit into stereotypes, and even the female villains have such powerful personalities. Now if that isn’t a reason to watch Teen Wolf again this year, we don’t know what is.
