As of now, there is no confirmation regarding season 3 of the Norwegian series ‘Home for Christmas‘. Unlike the flagship American productions of Netflix, ‘Home for Christmas’ did not receive the same kind of craze for its renewal status. The American audience was not aware of the renewal of the show. It was only in November 2020 that Netflix announced its release alongside the huge list of shows, that was set to premiere in December.
Hence, do not expect a big announcement for season 3 of ‘Home for Christmas’ from Netflix. The first season of the hilarious romantic Christmas series arrived on Netflix on 5th December 2019. ‘Home for Christmas’ Season 2 ending
Season 2 brought another Christmas for Johanne where she is single. Her relationship with Henrik ended with him cheating on her. Things take an unexpected turn when Jonas reveals to Johanne that he was the one who sent her a hundred roses last year on Christmas eve. Keeping in mind her age and past relationship, Johanne pushes away her feelings for him. However, after an awkward conversation with her family, Johanne realises how much she is missing in life by not letting Jonas be part of it. In the end, Johanne confesses her feelings to him. Hence, giving a perfect ending to the show.
Keeping in mind Johanne’s perfect ending, a season 3 may or may not be possible. If it happens, we will get to see Ida Elise Broch’s return as Johanne, along with the return of best friend and roommate, Gabrielle Leithaug as Jørgunn, Anette Hoff as Johanne’s mother Jorid, Felix Sandman as Jonas, and Dennis Storhøi as Johanne’s father Tor.
