Netflix recently released an extended trailer of ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3 and we are sure you are excited to know what will unfold in the coming episodes!
The two seasons of ‘Cobra Kai’ originally aired on YouTube Red. The show picked up decades later with Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, and ‘Cobra Kai’ was banned from the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Since season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’ is just around the corner, let’s see who will we see make a return or leave the popular Netflix series.

Stars, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka the focus of Season 3 trailer
The season 3 trailer of ‘Cobra Kai’ hints at Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) finding a common enemy in Kreese (Martin Kove). Kreese can be seen enforcing to return the ‘Cobra Kai’ karate dojo to the former ruthless organization. Daniel also appealed to Johnny to help save the students and fight against Kreese. The season 3 trailer also shows Johnny helping Miguel recover, who was injured at the end of season 2.
In season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’, we will see Daniel head to Okinawa. It is also Mr. Miyagi’s hometown and a place that they travelled to together in ‘The Karate Kid Part 2‘. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ralph Macchio who plays the role of Daniel LaRusso spoke about his character going to Japan where he will discover some of the secrets that Mr. Miyagi might have been hiding from him.
Macchio talked about how Daniel LaRusso is about to lose the business or get to a place where if he does not sell it, he would be in trouble. Just like it happened in the ‘Karate Kid’ universe, some Miyagi element from his past triggers an idea, and it is beautifully done. He takes a shot to get to Japan and talk to some of the import companies.
“While he’s there, another idea gets him to puddle-jump over to the Island of Okinawa. He doesn’t even know what he’s seeking. It’s not otherworldly that brings him there, but he’s at that midlife crisis moment where everything’s unravelling, and this is where the magic happened in his childhood. And maybe there’d be an answer. And that’s when the Tamlyn Tomita character, Kumiko, becomes such a big part of that, and Chozen”,
Said Ralph Macchio. Daniel LaRusso’s former love interest from ‘The Karate Kid Part 2 Kumiko’ is also confirmed to appear on ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3.
Will Ali make a comeback on ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3?
Since the beginning of ‘Cobra Kai’, fans have speculated Ali Millis returns. During the first two seasons of ‘Cobra Kai’, we learn that Ali is now a successful pediatrician. She is married to a successful doctor who she met at medical school. However, we can only speculate what her relationship status is currently.
It is the perfect time for Ali to make a comeback on ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3. Currently, Miguel is in the hospital, so he could really benefit from the help of a pediatrician. In an interview with ET Canada, actress Elisabeth Shue hinted that she may return to Cobra Kai’:
“I thought it was really well done and I am thinking about it. I’m thinking about making an appearance,”
She said.
What happened between Daniel Larusso and Ali?
Fans of the ‘Karate Kid’ series know that Ali Millis was actually the reason for the feud between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. Ali has been mentioned several times in ‘Cobra Kai’s’ former seasons. Johnny also admitted to Miguel that he never got over Ali, and how he always blamed Daniel for stealing his girl from him. In season 1, when Daniel and Johnny were drinking together at a bar, they talked about Ali. Daniel also accepted how he has fond memories of her. Does this mean that if Ali comes back, there will be a conflict again between Johnny and Daniel?
Daniel is currently happily married to Amanda (Courtney Henggeler) and has not seen ALi in 35 years. However, just as season 2 sends, Ali sends Johnny a friend request on ‘The Facebook’.
