It has been quite some time since ‘The Vampire Diaries’ bid adieu to its fans, but not without leaving back ‘Legacies’. Julie Plec’s ‘Legacies’ is the love child that ‘The Vampire Diaries’ had with ‘The Originals’, and their little baby is up for a season 3 comeback.
Not only does ‘Legacies’ keep ‘The Vampire Diaries’ alive by bringing together vampires, witches, and werewolves, all under the same roof, but it also features the element of high school drama that goes on in The Salvatore School.
Although the characters from ‘Legacies’ have hardly been known to cross paths with the ones from its parent shows, rumour has it that certain fan favourites are going to steal appearance in season 3 of the show.
Introducing the daughter of ‘The Vampire Diaries’s’ ‘It’ couple
‘Legacies’ sets its premises in The Salvatore School of Young and Gifted where teenagers with supernatural powers (vampires, werewolves, and witches) explore their supernatural abilities and learn to control their impulses.
The school has as its students– witches (Josie and Lizzie), vampires (Milton Greasley), and werewolves (Rafael). The teenage students and their much-admired principal, Dr Alaric Saltzman, face and tackle mythical creatures and monsters that they have only ever heard stories of, but never seen.
As The Salvatore School of Young and Gifted is getting ready for its new session, it is believed that the biggest legacy that ‘The Vampire Diaries’ has left behind is about to join the school as a student in season 3. We are definitely talking about Stephanie Salvatore, the humanish daughter of the king and queen of ‘The Vampire Diaries’- Damon and Elena.
More than three years later since Damon and Elena last appeared on the screen together, their story has thrived in the hearts of millions of fans and it would be almost too good to be true to finally see their daughter on screen. The vampy fam is definitely and eagerly speculating how Stephanie Salvatore would get along with Jossie, Hope, and Lizzie. Hope and Stephanie hanging out in the same school, being the daughters of Klaus Mikaelson and Damon and Elena Salvatore respectively, would be a much-anticipated union for the popular fantasy show.
