It just takes one punch for Saitama to beat his enemies. For a fan-boy obsessed with hyper-stylized action heroes indulged in protracted battle-scenes, One Punch Man would sound like a boring premise. Moreover, Saitama himself is bored with his super strength. Then why should you wait for One Punch Man season 3? Read below to know why.

How One Punch Man stands out from other pop culture superheroes series?
Unlike 20 plus episodes it takes for a superhero to demolish a villain, Saitama appears in a flash, do the honors and leaves, all too his disappointment. He is bored because he is unbeatable. Outfitted in an uncool goofy superhero costume, he is more interested in getting deals at the supermarket.
What makes One Punch Man so effective is the line of superheroes it parodies. From obscure mascots to DC/Marvel Pantheon to Akira Kurosawa, each one is revered and parodied in equal measure. Saitama is a hero for fun and humble to the core unlike the western superheroes. He often credits his success to others or the favorable circumstances. Most superhero series are hell bent on good vs evil that they miss the nuances of the character.

One Punch Man, on the other hand, shows that the inter-personal struggles and expressions of humility are as important as the physical strength of a true superhero.
Bad news for Saitama fans on One Punch Man Season 3
Fans were left disappointed with One Punch Man season 2, which offered too little of Saitama. 1st season of One Punch Man was a huge anime crossover blockbuster, attracting multitudes of fans overnight. Unbeatable hero and his laid back attitude (except for supermarket deals) became an instant hit.
But unfortunately, season 2 of One Punch Man could not keep up with the success. Besides the drop in visual quality, season 2 of One Punch Man didn’t feature Saitama prominently. For most of the episodes, the Caped Baldy protagonist was sidelined and the real story was taking place where numerous S-Class heroes were engaged in battle with Monster Association.
If we follow the Japanese web-comics on which the Netflix’s series is based, these stories will continue in One Punch Man season 3. Saitama will wander like a filler in the story and we would only be able to see the epic clash of Saitama vs Monster in the finale episode of One Punch Man season 3.
However, it’s not that bad by benching Saitama on the side for a while because we will get to explore Genos, King, and Fubuki, etc. all of whom are equally compelling and comic. Poor Saitama! After all, the one-punch-killer strength proves a loss-making a deal when it comes to screen-time.
