Peaky Blinders is created by Steven Knight that is based on the story of ‘Shelby’ crime gang in the direct aftermath of the First World War. The Shelby crime gang is based on a real 19th-century urban youth gang of the same name, who operated in the city of Birmingham from the 1890s to the early 20th-century.

Before we jump on the Peaky Blinders Season 6, let’s discuss what happened in Season 5 and how it ended.
The 5th season’s of Peaky Blinders’ last episode saw Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) square up against Sir Oswald Mosley (played by Sam Claflin) before the season finale ended on a cliffhanger where Tommy’s suicidal tendencies are revealed when Tommy is asking to Charlie Strong (Ned Dennetry) about how his mother took her own life.

Shelby’s suffered from PTSD (Post-traumatic-stress-disorder) and his hallucinations oversents by his compulsive drinking and smoking opium habits. The hallucinations trigger his mental trauma and often remind him of his dead wife whom he misses terribly often their old conversation would play on his mind making it extremely difficult to survive without her.
The last words to echo in Shelby’s mind were when grace (his wife) said the following.
“It’s all done, we can walk away for all of this, it’s so easy.”
Subsequently, Tommy places a gun on his head and screams and just after which the screen cuts of black that left the audiences hold tight on to the edge of their seats.

Fresh-Spin in Peaky Blinders Season 6
During an interaction with an entertainment portal, producer Steven Knight spilled the beans on what the season 6 is about. He said,
“In series six, we’ll be looking at 1934 and things are worse, “The drumbeat is getting louder, tensions are worse and Tommy is right in the middle of all that. Again, it will be an exploration of what was going on in the ’30s and how certain things transpired. I’m writing it at the moment, and it is a tragedy.”
Who will cast in Season 6
The upcoming season will see the return of Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin) and Gina Grey (Anya Taylor-Joy). Byrne confirms in an interview saying, “Gina, and whoever her family is, will make themselves known, Oswald Mosley and some people around him and his world.”

Surprisingly, there are speculation riff around that Julia Roberts and Stephen Graham are in talks to join the show as Gina’s mother and father. Moreover, there are many questions on what we will get to see in Peaky Blinders season 6. One thing is clear that Season 6 will also be coming to another bitter end.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 – Release Date
On January 26, Director Anthony Byrne took to his Instagram and shared this good news for Peaky Blinders’ fans that the Season 6 was in pre-production. Interestingly, he also shared the title of the first episode that reads, ‘Black Day’.
As we know that the makers have begun the production of Peaky Blinders season 6 however, they have not confirmed on the release date until now. but as shown in the picture above. Squinting our eyes a little it looks like it is set for a 1st January 2021 release.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 – When will the trailer come out?
There’s no official announcement till now but we can presume that it will release around the mid-December 2020.
