The stage is set for Brooklyn Nine-Nine as season 7 is ready to premiere on NBC on February 6. But before you go ahead to watch season 7, here is a recap of the sassiest burns on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
- Best burns of Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 1-6
- Ray Holt and Madeline Wuntch faceoff
- Gina Linetti, the mean queen
Banters, pranks, insult and a lot of cop-comedy drama summarize the gist of this funny show. The show revolves around the scenario of a fictional Brooklyn 99 Precinct and the day-to-day cases that arrive at that Precinct.
The show is humourous especially because of Jake Peralta’s characteristics as the Precinct’s top detective yet a pretty chilled out one. His repartee with the Precinct’s boss a.k.a Captain Holt has the audiences split up in laughter.
Captain Holt is a man of few words who holds a poker face whether he be in sadness or in excitement. The man is known for his witty quips and hot burns. Let’s take a look at the best burns on Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 1-6 so far.
Gina Linetti’s Secretary Lists Down Burns Against Amy
We know how cheeky and sassy Gina Linetti is, and when it comes to her against anybody, she can get really mean. Remember the one time Gina made Emily write down a burn for Amy? Gina: Hey! What did one graphing calculator say to the other one? Amy: What? Gina: Why does this sad lady own the two of us?
Well, that did not go down well with Amy and she is so annoyed that when Terry offers her his Yogurt she replies, “Never” in agitation.
Ray and Madeline Wuntch
We know that Raymond Holt and Wuntch don’t share the best of the relationship. The two are shown constantly mocking and taunting each other at any opportunity found.
Speaking of which, Wuntch runs into Holt one day and says, “I’m the front-runner for a job in the Boston PD.” To which Holt sarcastically replies, “Boston? But it’s so close to Salem. You do know what they do to witches up there, don’t you?” Ooh! Some dry ice for that burn, Wuntch?
When Captain Holt Called Wuntch A Goat
There’s never too much to Holt and Wuntch’s burns, and her next-to-negligible efforts of giving it back. And this one is the best so far.
Holt: Care to sit? I’m sure you’d like to take some weight off your cloven hooves.
Madeline Wuntch: Call me the devil, Raymond? How original.
Captain Holt: Actually, I was calling you a goat. You goat.
Olivia’s Face-Off With Holt
When rival Olivia Crawford barges into Holt’s office asking him to withdraw his name from the Commissionership, Holt shuts her down with a clean and crisp one-liner. In a fitting reply, Holt reminds Olivia that exaggeration is the Huckster’s Crutch. Quite a burn!
When Gina Insults Amy During The Halloween Heist
Gina emerged as the unforeseen winner in Season 4 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Halloween heist. Well, an indirect credit for this goes to Amy Santiago. She camouflaged herself with the office walls wearing one of Amy’s dull and boring suit that made her look invisible. What a dig at Amy.
Gina: I came back wearing the perfect disguise to make sure I was never noticed by anyone, something so drab and uninspiring.
Amy: That suit is not drab it has a fun salmon lining”
Gina: “No Amy, it made me invisible”
Tune in to NBC to catch the latest season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine premiering on February 6.
