Is a Season 2 of ‘And Just Like That’ on the way?
‘And Just Like That…’ is a comedy-drama series created by Michael Patrick King and produced by HBO Max. It is a revival of Darren Star’s HBO television series ‘Sex and the City’, which revolves around Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and the same-named 1996 book anthology.
The series stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Willie Garson, Evan Handler, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, Chris Noth, and David Eigenberg and is set 11 years after the events of the film. Sara Ramirez and Sarita Choudhury are playing the new characters in the show.
We have a piece of good news for all the Carrie fans out there. ‘And Just Like That’ will soon return with a second season.
Season 2 was granted the green light in March 2022. Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the news on Instagram, thanking fans for their continued support of the Sex and the City spin-off. She held up a picture of the cast and stated captioned it, “Season 2.”
So, at the very least, we know that the show will return for another season.
What will be the plot of season 2?
We don’t know what to expect from season 2 because the show’s creators haven’t given us any hints as of yet.
All we know is that the show’s focus has shifted to the three main female characters as they enter a new phase of their lives that delves into more than just their love lives.
After Big’s untimely death, Carrie is adjusting to life as a single woman. Miranda has also returned to the dating scene, albeit with a new suitor.
Charlotte’s life has remained mostly unaffected, whereas Carrie and Miranda’s lives have been turned upside down. Despite Rose’s transformation into the gender-neutral Rock, Charlotte’s primary concern has always been her child’s safety. Something unexpected and life-changing may get thrown her way later in the season.
When will the second season of ‘And Just Like That’ get released?
As of now, we do not know the possible release date for season 2. However, if the production begins this year, we can expect that the show might be released somewhere towards the end of 2023.
