Alex Pina, who also created ‘Money Heist’, has long dropped the hint for season 2.
The world can’t have enough of gritty murder mysteries and never enough from the brilliant mind of Alex Pina, who gave us the binge-able, unmissable, and thrilling show ‘Money Heist’ on Netflix. ‘White Lines’, which is Pina’s latest crime show, again on Netflix, has proved to be just as thrilling and smashing a hit with global audiences. Now that it’s been a while since season 1 has taken the audience’s breath away, is the time ripe for ‘White Lines’ Season 2?
Highlights:
- A possible season 2?
- What could season 2 be about?
But here’s the thing: Alex Pina has dropped the hint that a season 2 could actually be possible!
A possible season 2?
‘White Lines’ is an English-Spanish collaborative project and follows Zoe Collins, played by Laura Haddock, who is trying to investigate the murder of her brother, a DJ in Ibiza, who was found dead 20 years ago. Over the span of 10 episodes, season 1 unravelled the mystery part of the storyline. But creator Alex Pina has said that they had originally written the story such that it would run over the course of three seasons. This means that there are many storylines left to explore and that the makers clearly have an idea of where to take things.

Netflix usually waits to see how a season of a show is doing and analyses the views before it can commission another season. However, since ‘Money Heist’ has done as well as it has, there is a high likelihood of there soon being a ‘White Lines’ Season 2 to look forward to.

What could season 2 be about?
Well, we know who did it, we know who committed the crime. Where could the story now lead to? Your guess is as good as mine, at this point, and anything can happen. Another character might occupy the foreground in the new season, and Zoe may take a backseat. Perhaps there might be more flashback scenes of Axel, and other characters might also come along for a journey into the past.
But then again, who’s to say that Pina maynot just come up with a wonderfully weird, bonkers of an idea, and a completely new storyline, with Ibiza as the setting?
Whatever it may be, we’re quite geared up for whatever the show creators have to throw at us! Are you excited for the new season? Let us know what you think about the first season of ‘White Lines’. Share your thoughts in the comments box below!
