“Friendship isn’t a big thing – it’s a million little things”
‘A Million Little Things’ is ABC’s latest serial drama that features an ensemble cast that consists of James Roday, David Giuntoli, Christina Moses, Allison Miller, Romany Malco, Grace Park, Christina Ochoa, Tristan Byon, Stéphanie Szostak, and Lizzy Greene. The title of the series comes from the saying – “Friendship isn’t a big thing – it’s a million little things”. The plot is set in Boston and revolves around a closely-knit group of friends who are struck with shock and sorrow when one of them commits suicide. The story progresses as these friends finally decide to move past the tragedy and try to move forward with their lives, only to realise that dealing with a loss is not easy.
The series has been commended for its storytelling as it maintains a steady pace while revealing the details of the suicide bit by bit and makes a compelling drama infused with secrets and deceptions. At the same time, the show breaks your heart and makes you cry a river with every episode.
However, it is probably the cast of the show that draws you in with heart-rending performances that keep you coming back for more. The series has been seeing stable ratings attracting almost 8 million views per season, on an average.
“Til Death Do Us Part” – The shocking season 2 finale
Season 2 successfully topped the first season in terms of dramatic revelations and heartache.
The finale episode, “Til Death Do Us Part” sees Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina’s (Christina Moses) adoption journey come to an unsuccessful end, devastating Regina. Maggie (Allison Miller) tells Gary (James Roday) that she loves him and leaves for Oxford, while Gary goes back to girlfriend, Delilah (Stéphanie Szostak). However, the biggest shock is the last scene that shows Eddie (David Giuntoli) hit by a truck, leaving his fate unknown.

Apparently, Nash also had an alternate ending planned which was shot, though the makers eventually decided to stick with this one. With the season-ending on such a major cliff hanger, fans are already feeling restless waiting for the next season. To their joy, the series was renewed for another season and Nash has also started revealing what can be expected from the upcoming season.
Season 3 – Everything we know yet
Even though Nash has refused to reveal whether Eddie is alive or not, he has given a crucial hint saying that the driver of the truck that hit him is a familiar face. Season 3 will be focusing on this new mystery along with the ongoing storyline of the truth behind Alex’s death.
While talking about what the upcoming season will look like, Nash said, “What I will say is, it’s kind of similar to what we’re going through right now, this horrific thing that the world is going through right now. When we come out of it, we will have a different perspective on all of it, on life altogether. And I think our group of friends, after what they are going to endure with the way we ended act six of the finale for all of them, is they’re all going to come out of it with a perspective that is unlike anything they had before”.
So, when is the show coming back? There is no official confirmation yet but if things surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic get better, the cast and crew will resume shooting in September 2020. Season 3 will likely get a premiere date sometime in early 2021. The next season of the series is being greatly anticipated, and fans cannot wait to watch all the mysteries unfold.
