‘The Talk’: The emotional mid-season/winter finale
Things were awkward and intense in season 3’s winter finale with talks about the past, sex, and helicopter parenting! Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, secret drug use, and even depression made ‘The Talk’ a melodramatic affair.
Maggie and Jamie finally take the next step in their relationship. Maggie shares this information with Regina calling the sex ‘B+’ and finally relaxes when Jamie clarifies that he is in no hurry to settle down. Shanice also makes a confession to Rome that she was hospitalized in the past for depression. She says, “You may want me to play Regina, but in real life, I’m Rome“. She also encourages Ron to continue making the movie about his friend’s suicide as it would help others heal. Darcy’s PTSD also takes a front-seat during the episode as her nightmares about her time in Iraq become more frequent. Helicopter parenting too is taken to a whole new level by Gary.
The episode ends on a strong note and will make the upcoming episodes one with a lot of drama and revelations.
