Is Peter Parker’s Spidey Sense the next big Marvel sacrifice as Spider-Man 3 Fan theories suggest?
After the release of Spider-Man: Far from home, fans are in frenzy with theories on what Peter Parker will lose now in Spider-Man 3. As we might recall, in all movies of MCU, we find a common thread that makes us believe that our friendly neighborhood web-slinger will be losing something important. The Marvel studio’s major cast i.e. Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor lost something in the 3rd part of their movie.
In the end scene of Iron Man 3, we saw Tony Stark ordering J.A.R.V.I.S. to remotely destroy all the Iron Man suits as a sign of his devotion to Potts. He also muses that, even without the technology, he will always be Iron Man. In the end scene of Captain America: Civil War, there is a fight between Iron Man and Captain America.
In that scene, Steve Roger aka Captain America gives his shield back to Iron Man as it was also built by Stark’s father. Although he got it back in Avengers: Endgame. In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor also lost his hammer in the battle with her evil sister Hela. He gets back his hammer in Avengers: Endgame.
Spider-Man 3 Fan Theories: What will happen with Peter Parker
Sony and Disney have recently agreed to work together on the new Spider-Man movie. In the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, we see that Peter’s secret identity is revealed by J. Jonah Jameson of The Daily Bugle.net. J. Jonah Jameson used doctored footage of Quentin Beck (Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal) to out Peter Parker to the public as Spider-Man.
So according to fan theories, in Spider-Man 3 everyone will know who Tom Holland is and anyone can take revenge from him. Till now the villain who wants to kill him or destroy him could be Mysterio. He is one of Spider-Man’s most iconic foes and a member of the Sinister Six. Mysterio would turn out to be a villain. Spider-Man enemies will try to hurt his friends and family and he will be saving them.
Mysterio knows everything about the Spiderman
At the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, we saw Mysterio aka Jake Gyllenhaal dying. However, it seems that he is not dead but only wandering the enclaves of the underworld. Mysterio is shot by a ricocheting bullet in the final battle with SpiderMan.
Fans are blowing up theories on Spider-Man 3 and how will Mysterio fight him back. He previously was a former employee of Stark Industries who manipulates Peter into giving him Tony’s EDITH glasses. He did that so he can use Stark drones to enhance his own illusion technology. Therefore, Mysterio wants to create a high-level threat that he will defeat on his own and become the greatest superhero there is. The movie’s executive producer Eric Carrollproposed that Mysterioaka Jake Gyllenhaal might be present during his Spider-Man: Far From Home trip to the future films.
Peter’s friend Ned as the new hobgoblin
Fans are also putting theories for Spider-Man 3 and they are expecting a new face as a villain. So, enter Hobgoblin. Spider-Man 3 will also be the last appearance of Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hence its storyline is significant. But there are rumours that he will appear in one of the MCU Phase 4 movies. Furthermore, there’s a character in this Spider-Man series that could grow into his role from the comics.
Ned Leeds Actor Jacob Batalon who is Peter Parker’s best friend. We have seen Ned as Spider-Man aka Peter Parker’s best friend in comics as well as in the latest Spider-Man movie. Hobgoblin is the classic Marvel supervillain appearing in American comic books and is the enemy of Spider-Man. Marvel has not yet revealed what plot they’ll settle with at this point. In fact, if the franchise adds Ned as the Hobgoblin, the villain of Spider-Man, the plot will become really interesting. Moving Hobgoblin from comic book to Spider-Man 3 would also pay homage to the classic Goblin-Esque villains within Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery.
Can Mysterio and Hobgoblin team up and try to destroy Spiderman.
Now Spider-Man has villains like Mysterio and Hobgoblin and they will be coming together to end SpiderMan. As Mysterio knows about the technology of Spider-Man’s suit as he was the part of the Stark industry previously. In Spider-Man 3, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will also suffer the same fate as Iron Man, Captain America and Thor in the final episodes of their individual trilogies.
So, Iron Man had to self-destruct all his suits. Similarly, Captain America had to part with his shield. Likewise, Thor lost his hammer. So coming back to Spiderman, what he has to lose is not physical assets. Consequently, it’s his superhuman powers – the spidey sense, the web-ejecting ability, and superhuman strength. So as part of Mysterio and Hobgoblin’s elaborate plan to trap Spider-Man, the most crucial aspect would be relinquishing him of his superpowers. Stay tuned!
