Top Gun: Maverick trailer shows Tom Cruise as the new flight instructor of Top Gun academy.
The first official trailer for Top Gun: Maverick is set to release 34 years after the original, and sees Tom Cruise reprise his role as cocky ladies’ man Maverick.
Cruise guides Bradley, the son of Maverick’s late wingman Goose who wants to follow in the footsteps of his old man to become a pilot.

Goose dies in the first part after hitting his head when he and Mav’ were forced to eject from their F-14.
There’s plenty of high-flying in fancy new jets, glimpses of Cruise’s iconic bomber jacket and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Alongside Cruise, the film also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris.

The trailer also shows Cruise on a motorbike recreating a very iconic scene from Top Gun in which Maverick and his love interest Charlotte go for a ride.
Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con to hype the forthcoming “Top Gun: Maverick.”
