Superman, the last Kryptonite, can he take them on?
In a universe that’s more famous for its villains than its heroes. DC’s Superman truly deserves ‘The Man of Steel’ title. Be it his archnemesis Lex Luthor, or Doomsday, Parasite, Metallo — he can single-handedly put them in their place.
With his powers, the superhuman strength, heat vision, taking a flight, x-ray, cold breath, super-speed, enhanced hearing, and nigh-invulnerability makes him nearly invincible.
Nearly because he has been defeated many times but still comes back. But that’s a different universe what if, DC Marvel crossover with Superman against Marvel villains? Will, he ever measure up to a Dormammu, Ronan or Malekith.
Here, reimagining how Superman may stand up against famous Marvel villains

Molecule Man
An immensely powerful and chronically insecure character, Owen Reece. He was a normal human being who mistakenly activate an experiment device. Which opened a portal to another dimension. The portal caused him to be exposed to a powerful explosion of energy.
Created By Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Molecule Man is portrayed as super-villain and sometimes a reluctant hero. Superman has resisted matter manipulation before saved by his durability.
However, Molecule man has the power to control all matter and energy and here physical strength doesn’t equal a win. All it would take the Molecule man is a simple nod or blink to turn Superman to a lump of coal or send him to the other side of the universe.
Vulcan
Gabriel Summers aka Vulcan is an omega level mutant. He is youngest of the Summers brother among Cyclops and Havok.
An omega level mutant, like Havok or Jean Grey he can manipulate energy as well as absorb it. His psionic powers, allows him to control over, others powers like telekinesis and telepathy.
As per his creator Ed Brubaker, Vulcan has a “hidden potential” which allows him to fully generate and have control over the 7 elements (Fire, Earth, Electricity, Wind, Water, Darkness and Light). Due to his supposed/intended ability, it can be argued that Vulcan is a match for other God-like heroes such as Superman.
Galactus
Galactus is empowered by the virtually limitless power of the Power Cosmic (the source of all-encompassing cosmic energy). As such, Galactus manifests a range of powers and abilities depending on his need and desire. He is the infamous “Devourer of Worlds” in the Marvel Universe.
The Power Cosmic allows him to manipulate creation, matter, energy and universal sources. He can erect nearly impenetrable fields, project devastating energies powerful enough to blow up planets and split them apart. Like Superman’s heat vision Galactus can shoot laser beams.
Galactus can open wormholes or portals to other dimensions and time, transport beings across the universe, teleport, read minds (across the universe) levitate matter via telekinesis and reconstruct matter or transmute it into energy or vice versa.
Silver Surfer
Silver surfer has superhuman abilities thanks to the Power Cosmic, he is even stronger than the hulk. He has enhanced endurance and senses and can manipulate the ambient energy of the very universe. He can travel at the speed of light and can also travel through time.
Superman is strong to be sure but he has trouble breathing in space, which is the Surfer’s “Home Turf”. The surfer can use the Power Cosmic to enhance his strength to perhaps infinite amounts. He can project an energy that can destroy planets or create a black hole.
Plus his surfboard is a part of him and is a considerable weapon. The board is psionically linked to his mind so he can move it wherever as per his will. His board can also be used to imprison beings or absorb them for a limited amount of time. Superman can give the surfer a challenge but the former herald of Galactus will almost always come out on top in a DC Marvel crossover against Superman.
Beyonder
As a result of being the entirety of a dimension of far more scope than our own multiverse. Beyonder is described as having “millions” of time more power than all the power in our multiverse combined.
It is one thing to be a powerful figure in your universe, but it is another to actually be your own universe. Beyonder is his entire reality. He is really held back by his curiosity about humans and his desire to find a place to belong.
Beyonder has hulk level strength, cellular replication, super durability, superhuman intelligence. Along with his reality-altering powers. He can actually play around with Superman a bit in a fight but there is nothing Superman can do could hurt the Beyonder.
And here comes an honourable mention
Muhammad Ali
Yes, you read it right. Muhammad Ali is as close to a real-life superhero as we’ll ever get, so it does not come as a huge surprise to learn that he once defeated Superman. That is super awesome. A DC Marvel crossover with Superman and Muhammad Ali. Wow!!
The fight took place in the aptly titled Superman vs Muhammad Ali. An alien army attacks Earth and proposed a simple contest of champion to determine the fate of the world. Eventually, the representatives of the Earth were Muhammad Ali and Superman. Both had a boxing match, meaning it was essentially Ali vs Clark Kent. Later, Muhammad Ali knocks Superman senseless. In the end, he also defeated the alien champion in single combat, saving the planet.
