Universal has unveiled the trailer of Sam Mendes’ upcoming war film ‘1917’.
1917, the upcoming war movie which shows the scenario of World War I that captures the mounting pressure to stop a brutal attack that could threaten the lives of thousands of soldiers on the battlefield. The movie is directed by Sam Mendes, who also wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

The trailer of ‘1917’ shows a soldier running through black-clouded bomb blasts before the clip cuts to two more servicemen carefully searching an underground bunker. They are surprised by an unexpected explosion and are forced to quickly evacuate.

The trailer later shows Colin Firth’s character meeting two young soldiers, Schofield (George MacKay) and Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman). They must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will put a stop a deadly attack which includes Blake’s own brother among them.

“Your orders are to deliver a message calling off tomorrow’s attack. If you don’t, we will lose 1,600 men, your brother among them,” Firth’s says.
The movie ensemble an excellent cast featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden, Andrew Scott, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, George MacKay, Teresa Mahoney, Dean-Charles Chapman, Daniel Mays, Adrian Scarborough, Justin Edwards, Gerran Howell, Anson Boon, and Richard McCab.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 25th December 2019, by Universal Pictures.
