Taylor Swift reveals her new song ‘The Archer’ during an Instagram Live Stream.
Taylor Swift has dropped her newest song, ‘The Archer,’ which will be the fifth track off her upcoming album, ‘Lover’.
Taylor Swift went live on Instagram talking about her new song and said, There’s a lot that’s covered emotionally and I really wanted to give you track five before the album came out. I didn’t realize I was doing this, but as I was making albums, I guess I was just kind of putting a very vulnerable, personal, honest, emotional song as track five.”
“So because you noticed this, I kind of started to put the songs that were really honest, emotional, vulnerable and personal as track five, so that has definitely happened in the case of track five on this album Lover,” she added.
Swift also announced that she will release 120 pages from her personal diaries in four deluxe editions of “Lover.”
“This is the 13th year of me of putting out albums, which is my lucky number. So I figured we have to do something,” Swift said. “I’ve been writing in diaries since I was 13 years old… When I went through them I marked pages what I thought you would be interested in seeing.”
“It’s everything from being 13 and coming home from a bad day at school to Grammy night to processing my life-changing as a teenager,” she added.
She has been nominated for 10 categories including Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop at this year’s MTV VMAs. She is competing with Ariana Grande, who is this year’s most-nominated artist.
Her seventh album is scheduled to release on 23rd August 2019.
