Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut has brought back a Joker meme to life like the previous Joss-tice League brought Superman back.
In the trailer, Jared Leto, who reprises as the Joker, quotes, “We live in a society”, taking the trailer to another level. It proved that DC Comics was listening to all its fans and critics all this while. We live in a society that certainly needs to know memes can be taken seriously by film directors and used to mock the cruel intentions of this society.
What makes me claim that is the trailer of Zack Snyder’s Justice League released on 14th February and has since then been trending over the internet. It seems as if the Joker meme was about to die when Snyder Cut just came and saved its life.

Joker’s ‘We Live In A Society Meme’
We know Joker has always been a controversial figure; some find it realistic and blunt, while some find it evil and dreadful. But, the borderline here is, we in some way or the other find it relatable, and that is the reason that memes came into existence and spread like fire.
The meme we refer to is the one that came some years back and featured Heath Ledger’s Joker saying, “We live in a society”. This was the top line in that meme; the bottom line was something that people thought is contemplating and philosophical. This became a very widespread notion and became even bigger near the release of Joker (2019).

Snyder Conquered The Internet With Joker Meme
The official trailer of Snyder’s Justice League (popularly known as the Synder’s cut) has
already conquered the internet. There are people who are delighted and have started crossing dates on their calendars, waiting for the movie to release. They are thrilled that Snyder has finally come up with Justice League. It’s going to be marvellous and what makes them even more confident about their opinions is the closing line of the trailer by the Joker, “we live in a society where honour is a distant memory, isn’t that right, Batman?” To add a cherry to this cake, we have Jared Leto playing as the Joker in the upcoming Justice League.
Anyway, now, when the trailer for the Justice League is out, one thing that’s for sure now is that Snyder had always been listening to what his fans were talking about. He knew when to launch the “We live in a society” punch and just to add the right amount of spice to it. Furthermore, it shows that DC Comics has acknowledged meme.
This could be a brilliant marketing move as there might be people who wouldn’t have come across this trailer if not for this meme hype. By taking the meme seriously and using it in the trailer, Snyder uses his fan base to gain more and more hype on the trailer and for the forthcoming movie.
The movie’s cast will include Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg when they go against Steppenwolf and his army of parademons. So brace yourself as the film arrives in less than a month on 18th March on HBO Max.
