As 77-year-old Harrison Ford faces yet another aviation mishap Indiana Jones 5 is delayed for a 2022 release.
When Indiana Jones 5 was announced I don’t think any of actually thought it would be with Harrison Ford starring in it. But no one is Indiana Jones if not he. He’s 77 and thriving. Ford seems to be working on a set pattern recurring the roles in franchises he’s already played.
The iconic actor returned to play Rick Deckard in Blade Runner 2049 as well as Han Solo in The Force Awakens and Return of the Jedi.

And for Ford returning as Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones has not been an easy feat but one filled with difficulties after difficulties. A third release date has been announced for the blockbuster franchise’s fifth movie and if Harrison Ford isn’t careful the 77 year actor might just be delaying the movie even further.
The Delay That Only Delays
The movie industry is at a standstill. Theatres are closed. Productions are stalled. A hum of silence enthrals the entire world as COVID-19 spreads like fire. Numerous movies are pushing back their release date and there is no visible ground for things changing any time soon.
All of that underway has pushed the release date of Indiana Jones 5 to July 29 2022, that’s right. Not only was the production intended to start this year, the movie was set for a release in June 2021 prior to the Pandemic we face today.
Although, what we can’t help but notice is this movie does have a bit of bad luck attached to it. The newly announced release date is actually the third date that it’s been given.

But at this point a third release date is the least of worries for people making this movie and a fourth one could be very well in the way as Ford has landed himself in some serious trouble..again.
Ford Likes To Fly High
Harrison Ford will be 80 when the movie premieres in 2022. Most of us start complaining of joint pains in our 20s but Ford has never been one of them.
Recently, he described his fitness schedule as playing tennis and working on his ranch in Wyoming. Not only that, Ford has a great fascination for the field of Aviation and is a certified Pilot who likes to take his plane out for a spin. And that hasn’t bode well with him, not now and not in the past.
A flying enthusiast, in a recent incident that took place in California, Ford was flying his plane when he misheard instructions and landed on the runway at the same another aircraft was landing there much to the panic of the tower operator. This incident comes in after his 2005 one when the engine of the plane he was flying failed and crashed, plummeting Ford from a 3000ft height to the ground and a fracture to his pelvic bone.
But the reason he was in the plane flying might just surprise you and make you fall in love with the veteran actor even more! Turns out, Ford was renewing his Pilot license so he could join the relief efforts for the people hit by COVID-19. (We take a bow, Sir)
And he quickly owned up to his mistake and apologised for it.
Be that it may, we certainly don’t need any more accidents like this to further delay the release of Indiana Jones, do we? He’s not getting any younger and neither are we.
