After eight movies filled with horror and blood, the main antagonist of Saw franchise – John Kramer is all set to return in 2020 for the ninth installment in the series – The Organ Donor.
Who is Jigsaw?
Jigsaw or John Kramer is a fictional character in the Saw franchise. Portrayed by Tobin bell. Jigsaw is a former civil engineer dying from an inoperable frontal lobe tumor developed from colon cancer. He tried to kill himself but was unsuccessful.
After the failed suicide attempt, the organ donor in the Saw Franchise inculcates serious admiration for life. He decides to dedicate the rest of his life inspiring the same appreciation towards living in others. Throughout the series, he is seen forcing his subjects through deadly ‘games’ which they are required to play in order to escape and save their lives.
The Story so far…
In an incredible turn of events, which the saw movies depict, the viewers can get dreadfully twisted. At the end of Saw III, both Kramer, the leading antagonist, and Amanda, Jigsaw’s other apprentice are dead. But don’t worry, that’s when the real game begins.
Saw IV moves the story forward providing a lot of Kramer’s backstory, in an FBI interrogation with an agent named Strahm. The movie also establishes Hoffman as the heir to Kramer’s insane work. It’s in Saw V when FBI agent Strahm figures out that Hoffman is actually Kramer’s apprentice.
Hoffman kills Strahm in Saw V itself, meanwhile, Jill, Kramer’s widow receives a mysterious black box from her dead husband. In Saw VI, Hoffman tries to kill five more victims whose names are narrated by Jigsaw from beyond the grave in Jill’s black box. It’s quickly narrated that Hoffman is also another name in the list.
Hoffman successfully avoids the cops but is trapped by Jill as she leaves him to die. But he somehow escapes. How? Watch it for yourself!
Saw 3D & Jigsaw 2017 connection
In Saw 3D, we see the return of Dr. Gordon, yet another apprentice recruited by Jigsaw in the very first movie. Hoffman kills Jill with a trap but he eventually finds himself trapped by Gordon. In the honor of Kramer’s final request, Gordon leaves Hoffman to die inside the bathroom – the place where the series begins.
Jigsaw 2017, came out after a decade. The movie shows that five people are captive and a tape recording of John Kramer surfaces explaining they must give a blood sacrifice, and confess their sins. Throughout the movie, we see a series of tests. In the climax, it is told that because Halloran broke the rules, he must die and be framed as the killer. After such horror-filled drama, what to expect from Saw the organ donor.
What to Expect from Saw The Organ Donor
Considering the way the story in the Saw moves, it is incredibly hard to predict what is next. Chris Rock, the executive producer for the movie has stated his intentions very clear that he wants to take the story to a really intense and twisted place.
“I’ve been a fan of Saw since the first film in 2004. I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.”Chris Rock – Exective Producer for ‘The Organ Donor’
Josh Stolberg, the co-writer for the Saw series also confirmed that the movie will exist in the same canon as the previous movies and will not be a reboot. Neither will it be a sequel.
Director Bousman, while filming took to social media and compared one of the ongoing scenes directly to the needle pit scene in Saw II.
ugh… cutting a scene right now on SAW and it makes me want to take a shower… needle pit might have some competition.— Darren_Bousman (@darren_bousman) September 13, 2019
With such dedication observed from the film-makers to make the movie really intense, all predictions are off the table. For all we know, it is going to be intensely gory. Saw may have never really died and may erupt in the present scenario of the movie.
All we can say is don’t bet your money on any possibility, because the winning bonkers of Jigsaw is the eventual crux of the series.
