Reported plot details for the Matt Reeves directed The Batman reveal a detective-driven story that finds super sleuth Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) digging into a conspiracy that involves Batman’s already established rogues’ gallery.
Aloha! We have the plot details for the upcoming Matt Reeves directed movie ‘The Batman’ where Robert Pattinson has been cast as the new Batman. The movie will be seen in the theaters in 2021. According to recent reports, the movie plot will revolve around the time when Batman’s greatest enemies are back and running rampant in Gotham City.
“There is a reason to why there are so many villains rumored to coming in Matt Reeves’ Batman.”
Pattinson the new Batman
Robert Pattinson as the new Batman will try to get to the bottom of the case wherein every supervillain is a suspect. He will be chasing every villain who will give him a piece of information that sends him to the next. Till now the villains for the upcoming Batman movie are presumed to be Penguin, Riddler, Mad Hatter, Catwoman, Firefly, and Two-Face. It could be possible that they would include Mr. Freeze in the movie.
According to a new report, a bad guy known as “The Brain” will be joining Penguin, whom we’ve heard is going to be the villain for some time. It’s been a very long time since we’ve seen this particular bad guy on the big screen.
Movie insider Daniel Richtman describes the plot
“The Batman will explore a detective case – when people start dying in strange ways, Batman must go deep into the dark world of Gotham to find clues and solve the mystery/conspiracy connected to Gotham City’s history and criminals. In the film, all of Batman Rogues Gallery are already out there and active, similar to the comics and animated shows/movies. The film will have multiple villains, as they are all suspects.”
The writer and the director Matt Reeves will be taking the help of the iconic comic book series, Batman: The Long Halloween for making the movie.
Reeves on the Batman Plot
Reeves has previously expressed that he wants the Batman movie plot to be more of a detective noir story than a typical superhero movie. This movie appears to have no connection with Joker or DC Extended Universe movies. It will be self-contained in its own universe.
“The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been,” Reeves said.
“I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation,” Reeves added.
Robert Pattinson as the New Batman
Till now the only character attached to the Batman movie plot is The Lighthouse star, Robert Pattinson. He will be the new Bruce Wayne. Pattinson is a very skilled dramatic actor in the years since he sparkled in the sunlight as vampire Edward Cullen. It will not easy for the Batman fans to see Robert Pattinson as the new Batman till they see him perform in the movie. It is just like people can easily point out Heath Ledger as the Joker until they see the performance of any other actor.
Reeves is a very highly competent director who knows what he is doing by rebooting Batman yet again. He knows just as well as anyone that Pattinson is a much better actor than fans only familiar with the Twilight series would ever expect.
Good Choice… He’s interesting!
Robert Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart on him being the Batman said, “I feel he’s the only guy that could play that part. I am so happy for him. It’s crazy. I’m very happy about that. I heard that and was like ‘Oh man!’ It’s awesome.”
Recently Christian Bale, who portrayed as Batman previously broke his silence on Robert Pattinson’s Batman casting. He had an enthusiastic response on Pattinson taking over the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman on the big screen. “Good choice!” Bale said. “He’s interesting.”
“Just be able to pee by yourself,” Bale when asked what Pattinson needs to know to play the role. “You don’t feel like a superhero when you aren’t able to piss by yourself.”
Christian Bale played as Batman in three hugely successful films directed by Christopher Nolan, “Batman Begins, “The Dark Knight,” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” After him, Ben Affleck took over the role in “Batman v Superman” and “Justice League.”
