The 2019 BET Awards opened up with Cardi B’s enthusiastic performance
The 19th annual BET Awards ceremony was hosted by Regina Hall which aired live from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles across seven Viacom networks in the U.S.
Each year the show also delivers unforgettable performances and appearances.
The Awards ceremony celebrates African Americans and the American minorities entertainers in music, television, movies, sports, and more.
This year the award ceremony featured live performances from Migos, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, DJ Khaled, Lizzo, Mustard, H.E.R., Lil Baby, City Girls’ Yung Miami, Lucky Daye and Kiana Lede.

Tyler Perry gave a powerful speech as he was honored with the Ultimate Icon Award, and Mary J. Blige performed a show-stopping medley of hits after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
