Not just Wanda but also her on-screen love interest, Vision will be there in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness too.
MCU fans already knew Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff) will reprise her role beside Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Stephen Strange) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Now, a recent interview suggests that our speculation of Paul Bettany’s Vision appearance with his on-screen wife might be true.
Vision will appear beside Wanda once again
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the next project that is expected to continue MCU’s groundbreaking success after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, when we know what the multiverse can do, the expectations with the Doctor Strange sequel are extremely high.
With the movie coming in less than a month, the speculations and theories are at an all-time high. There are several questions revolving around the internet like, who is going to make a cameo in the movie? who is going to reprise their role? and if there are any new faces in the upcoming movie?
Amidst all the uncertainties one thing that we knew for sure from the trailer and the posters was the return of Wanda Maximoff. From the trailer, it can be predicted that she is set to play a remarkable and decisive role in the Multiverse of Madness, well set by her Disney+ series, WandaVision.
Bettany will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Talking about WandaVision, the question of Vision’s return has been a question for a very long time. And, after Wanda is there in the movie for sure, the question is if her on-screen husband Paul Bettany’s Vision will be in the upcoming sequel too.
Recently in an interview on ABC News, while Paul Bettany was promoting his new show A Very British Scandal with his co-star Claire Foy, he was asked by the host, Michael Strahan if he will appear in the Doctor Strange sequel.
Bettany replied in the most ambiguous way possible and played around with several Yeses and Noes before Foy interrupted and continued the ambiguous game. Foy said, “Yes he is – no he’s not.” Post that the Vision actor said, he cannot confirm anything about his appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel.
“Bettany then gave a clear answer and said, “I can neither confirm nor deny said rumours about me being in Doctor Strange.”
Later on, when Strahan said that this isn’t a proper answer, Bettany said in a subtle way that he cannot let the secrets out and cannot give any specific information.
“Well, it kind of is. I’ve gotta keep the kids in school – I can’t give secrets away.”
WandaVision will make the multiversal madness madder
There are chances that Vision will be there in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as the trailer and the speculations show that Wanda will be playing a villainous role and if that happens, we know Vision is the only person Wanda would listen to.
So, maybe if things go out of hand and they become catastrophic then Doctor Strange brings Vision out of a multiverse door. Rumours also suggest it will not be the Vision we know will appear but a White Vision.
Though we don’t know anything for certain as of now, Vision appearing beside Wanda in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will complete the package and make the multiversal madness even madder.
The movie will hit the theatres on 6th May 2022.
