With the end of Marvel Phase 3, the studio needs new Avengers who will replace the old Hulk.
According to the latest reports, Marvel Studios is finding a new Hulk for Avengers 4 and there are rumours that Luke Cage will be replacing the Hulk in MCU. Avengers: Endgame left many questions for the fans. One of them is where Bruce Banner aka hulk goes from there? If we recall, Hulk made billions of life forms back into existence in Endgame after he Snap. But that left him injured and he was not the part of the last fight with Thanos.
Now that we know he won’t be healing anytime soon as this injury is permanent. So fill the place of Hulk in MCU we have Luke Cage who will be replacing him. According to our sources, we know that Disney is introducing She-Hulk and much new character in Marvel Phase 4. The same source we get to know that the studio has plans to introduce a new Hulk in MCU. This doesn’t mean Bruce Banner is gone, he will return in the She-Hulk show.
Luke Cage Replacing Hulk
Luke Cage Marvel Comics superhero and is seen on Netflix series with the same name. There was no further season after Luke Cage season 2 as Netflix canceled all their Marvel series. Fans did not give up hope and like to see that Luke Cage as the characters again, as played by the same actors, in the MCU. He is the first black superhero to be a star as the protagonist and title character of a comic book.
Marvel is eyeing to bring Mike Colter aka Luke Cage in the next Marvel movie as one of the new Avengers. The new Avengers team on the page and sources say the studio’s keen to pay homage by getting Luke Cage on board for a movie based on the revamped Avengers roster. Replacing Hulk for Luke Cage will definitely work and makes complete sense.
Luke Cage on Joining The Avengers
Luke Cage actor Mike Colter earlier in an interview was asked what will he be seen in Avengers: Endgame. To which his answer was confusing. Colter said that Cage couldn’t show up in Avengers: Endgame. “Well, you know what? Based on what happened, I’m already dead, the snap has already happened with Luke Cage. We’re dead, we’re already gone! I hate to break it down, break people’s [heart]… but no, no, we’re not, “he added.
The actor’s answer is surprising as he was not really in the film and there haven’t been any crossovers between The Defenders series stars and the Marvel movies so far. It looks like Colter aka Luke Cage giving us some clue on coming in MCU, but there is no confirmation by him on replacing hulk.
New Hulk of MCU
It is clear that Luke Cage will be coming back, but the hero will first jump to Disney plus, Disney’s upcoming streaming service or directly the big screen. Colter said, “I’d be down for [movies]. Anything is possible. These things are sort of up in the air, at this moment. It’s pretty fresh,” said Colter. “We’ll see. With time, they’ll probably be some more clarity for everybody whether we’re actually gonna be involve in anything else.”
However, there is news that Edward Norton, who starred as the Hulk before Mark Ruffalo. The actor said that he wants to open to an MCU return as a Marvel movie villain. Meanwhile for the new Avengers team include Captains Marvel, the Mighty Thor, Blade, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch and possibly Spider-Man.
