The Mad Max movie rumoured ‘Wasteland’ is long overdue today and fans grow impatient with every passing day. The storyline, the world that George Miller created for Max to live in resonates with the scheme of things today.
Mad Max and its wasteland are the closest we have got to imagining a world wherein water is scarcely available. The fierce leadership and making slaves of humans once again makes this prequel movie one of the most anticipated ones.
Mad Max Wasteland
Wasteland is even referred to within the trailer of the critically acclaimed Mad Max: Fury Road. This directly implies that there must have been events that led to what happens in Fury Road. The prequel is going to take the road and show us what leads to the Mad Max Fury Road. Mad Max Wasteland is going to be insane.

Wasteland means that there is nothing left to reap from the Earth anymore. Water is what everybody is fighting over. Control over water means control over Wasteland. The tyrannical leaders of the ruthless Mad Max Wasteland are big on believing that they are gods but this is constantly broken down with their deaths. Where Mad Max Fury Road takes us is the story of one such tyrannical emperor who controls water, living in his impregnable castle of sorts.
These savages are big on hunting too; bigger yet on slavery and owning people for completing their purposes.
Max isn’t Max
The crazy car chase in the desert, gory kills and fighting over the scarce sacred resource: water. Mad Max Fury Road shows us a different take on the Mad Max series. The movie may take a twisted turn after all.
Do you remember the Feral kid from Mad Max trilogy? Yes, the kid who walks on all fours and digs holes to live? This is only a theory but bear with us. What if it is the Feral kid who has grown up to become the adventurer, Max in Mad Max Fury Road?
This is not exactly consistent with the statements given by George Miller. Mad Max Fury Road is based on a different timeline according to him; yet again, this may be consistent with the Feral Kid’s age. The rage and fury of Max in Mad Max Fury Road may be explored with the upcoming prequel, Mad Max Wasteland.
The Entry of the Interceptor?
The question everybody has got on their mind is one and the same. Will we see the cult vehicle that makes the franchise all the more fantastic? The interceptor is an integral part of not only Mad Max but for the identity of Max himself. It’s a crucial plot point because this car is the creation by the protagonist as he goes through the wastelands facing Water Wars and the post-apocalyptic world of Mad Max original trilogy starring Mel Gibson.

George Miller is currently working on another project and he is infamous for the time he takes in perfecting his works. We don’t expect to see a Mad Max movie on the big screens for at least 4 more years. What are your thoughts on the relationship of the original trilogy of Mad Max and the rebooted version? Do you think it can live up to the hopes we have? Reiterating; Mad Max Wasteland is going to be absolutely insane.
