’13 Reasons Why’ star Katherine Langford was cast in the film ‘Avengers Endgame’ but when the film released, her character never saw the light of the day. While many reasons have come forward to answer the “Why”, there is more than what meets the eye.

Katherine Langford was supposed to feature in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (reportedly) as Tony Stark’s daughter, Morgan Stark. But her fans were left disappointed after sieving the whole movie for her part. So, what forced the makers’ hands to remove the scene? While in a recent interview, Kathrine Langford talked about her deleted scene, we believe it might not be the only reason why.
Russo Brothers’ decision to cut Katherine Langford’s role made more sense than her role.
Katherine Langford on the Tonight Show
Katherine recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’. While Katherine Langford was there for the promotion of her latest film, ‘Knives Out’, she talked about her feelings when her scene did not make the cut.
In MTV’s ‘Happy Sad Confused‘ podcast (that answered the long list of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ fans’ questions) the Russo brothers talked about Katherine Langford’s role. They talked about the possible ending ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was supposed to offer.

In Joe Russo’s own words, ”There was an idea that Tony Stark was going to go into the metaphysical way station that Thanos goes in when he snapped his fingers, and there was going to be a future version of his daughter in that way station.”
But the idea was so confusing that the test audience failed to emotionally connect to Katherine Langford’s character Morgan Stark. Had the scene made the cut, it was sure to leave the fans equally confused and the movie might never have been such a big hit.
While this reason fulfills the Marvel fans’ souls, there is more to the story.

Why Katherine Langford never appeared in ‘Avengers: Endgame’- Comics reveal the real reason
While Katherine Langford’s Morgan Stark did not make the cut in Avengers: Endgame, it is not hardwired that the character will not appear in Marvel’s future phases. (Our best bet is Phase 5). In fact, Morgan Stark is NOT Tony Stark’s daughter in the comics! But that is not the shocking part. This is:
Morgan Stark is a man.
In the comics, Morgan Stark is the cousin of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ superhero, Tony Stark. The character has such a strong personality that he might actually stand out as the face of MCU, just like Tony Stark once did.

Paving out a Marvel-ous future
Even if Marvel decides to keep Morgan Stark (Katherine Langford) as Tony Stark’s daughter after ‘Avengers: Endgame’, they would open a whole full of storylines. Had Katherine Langford appeared in the top-grossing Marvel movie, the makers had no choice but to portray Morgan Stark as Tony’s daughter. And not only that, the character would have been overshadowed thanks to all the superheroes we love.
