South Korean boy band ‘BTS’ and American singer-songwriter ‘Khalid’ are working on a new project which is set to release soon.
K pop band revealed the news of their collaboration with the singer of “Free Spirit” on 102.7 KIIS-FM in Los Angeles.
RM (band member of BTS) when asked about who they would like to work with next said, “I have to mention Khalid, our friend. It is really happening. So please stay tuned to our Khalid collaboration.”
Khaild recently met the BTS members- RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook backstage at their Rose Bowl concert in Los Angeles, where they clicked a happy picture to commemorate the occasion. In the post they wrote, “Welcome friend !! @thegreatkhalid”
Khalid is the latest US musician to collaborate with BTS.
In recent collaboration with Halsey, the K-pop phenomenon for “Boy With Luv”, whose music video has racked up 286 million views on YouTube.
Before Khaild some big artist like Nicki Minaj and Ed Sheeran has also worked with the K-pop band to produce music.
BTS recently won two awards at Billboard Music Awards- Top Duo/Group and Best Social Artist
At the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California the band kick-started its global stadium tour ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself‘.
The group performed its first song ‘Dionysus’ all dressed in white and the stage bore a resplendent look with two giant panther statues on the sides.
The Rose Bowl global tour comes after the boy band dropped its album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona‘ on April 12, which became the third BTS album to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in just 11months.
