Furthermore, he carries the genes of the Deviants and shares the physical appearance of the Eternals. Thanos augmented his physical strength and powers through his superior scientific knowledge.

Darkseid can also teleport through time and space. Physically, he’s practically unmatched.
What defeats a Superhero are his weaknesses
Before he was resurrected, The Mad Titan was remarkably durable and resistant to injury. Death augmented these traits and made Thanos nearly invulnerable and practically impossible to bring down. even when an opponent lands a good hit, Thanos has an extraordinary healing factor.
But there’s one trait where Thanos shows an almost human-like weakness. Thanos has morals and emotions, but Darkseid has no such soft spot when he fights. Thanos’s ego makes him underestimate his opponents and it’s come back to bite him. Furthermore, Darkseid is also immortal. Along with the rest of his race, he took powers from other deities and individuals. Darkseid does not age and he is impervious to disease.

Finally, Darkseid has pure strength, infinite resources, and the unparalleled power of Omega Beams. With that, he has a vast amount of battle experience that gives him the ultimate edge. So, Darkseid wins because he is Darkseid.
