Wolverine destroyed Hugh Jackman! Hugh Jackman cannot be anything else except Wolverine – The X Man character stereotyped him before Taron Egerton came in as a replacement. That was Bad Education and made him underwhelming in any other project he undertakes.

Hugh Jackman is gearing up for his next project: Bad Education. But the Australian actor is well-known for his role as Wolverine. In fact, if one were to recall his movies, his role as Wolverine would be the only that comes to mind. This puts forward the question:
Is Hugh Jackman fit for any role other than Wolverine?
While he is recognized for his role in many movies of various genres, the one that wins, hands down, is his role in the X Men film series. In fact, for the common people, he is not Hugh Jackman at all. He is either ‘Wolverine’ or ‘Logan.’
That said, did you know the actor is also a singer? In fact, he even won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in ‘The Boy from OZ’ in 2004. (Have you watched the movie?) Among the 60 roles he has played in his career span, this is, by far, the farthest one from the nature of his most celebrated character.
Good Wolverine, Bad Education for Hugh Jackman
Hugh Jackman is gearing up for Bad Education. This is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Cory Finley. The film is based on actual events that occurred at co-producer Mike Makowsky’s high school (it would have been a fun journey for him!) And the movie is going to have its world premiere tomorrow, on 8 September at Toronto Film Festival.
With this premiere, the world will be weighing Hugh Jackman’s role in the movie to that of his X Men character. (Which one do you think will be heavier on the scales?) Before you decide, first read through the plot, “The movie follows the superintendent (Hugh) of a school district who works for the betterment of the student’s education while embezzling public funds to live the life he wants.”
Wolverine destroyed Hugh Jackman! Longest-serving Marvel Hero
Proof that Hugh Jackman can only be Wolverine comes from the fact that the actor has a very unique Guinness Record in his name. He holds the World record for Longest Serving Marvel Hero (along with co-star Patrick Stewart).
Both actors have spent a massive amount of careers on the superhero team. 16 years of being Wolverine has overshadowed other aspects of Hugh’s acting. And with Hugh Jackman’s Bad Education coming up, it’s unsure whether the actor can live up to his fans’ expectations.
Wolverine destroyed Hugh Jackman! Fired from X Men
In fact, recently, the actor opened up about how he was ‘almost’ let go from his Marvel role. In his own words, “I was told that things weren’t really working out as they hoped. I was about to get fired from my first Hollywood movie—the biggest of my career. Angry, I went home to my wife and I complained. I was whining an Olympic level of whining to Deb, my wife, and moaning about this person and that person.”
Jackman continued, “She listened to me very patiently for about an hour before she finally said, “Listen, I think you have just got to trust yourself. You are worrying way too much about what everyone else is thinking. Just go back to the character, focus on that, trust your instinct … you’ve got this.’ To me that was love. Someone that believes in you when you don’t fully believe in yourself.”
No replacement for Wolverine?
Being Logan was Hugh’s third role in a feature film. In fact, it was his first Hollywood one. And if reports are to be believed, the actor was not the first choice for the role of Wolverine. But once cast, he became the face of the iconic character. And then, one fine day, he quit the only role he truly fit in. Rumours (which, in fact, sound very sure) claim that Taron Egerton will fill in his shoes.
There are two sides to this story. Firstly, will Hugh Jackman survive without the only role he really fits in? Secondly, will Taron Egerton ever truly be the perfect replacement for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine – from the only role he really fits in? The later question split the fans.
Taron Egerton vs Hugh Jackman
Most of the X Men fans cannot seem to picture Taron Egerton as Wolverine replacement, a role that has only seen Hugh Jackman’s face on it. On the other hand, other fans have already accepted the change and are trying to make sure everyone can picture Taron Egerton as Wolverine (Literally!)
Calling it Quits
Though Hugh Jackman is now in Bad Education, can he ever get the Logan out of Hugh? When he quit the iconic role, this is what he cited as the reason, “When I saw Deadpool, I was like, wow that’s cool. It’s just a matter of time. It’s a bit like you’re at the greatest party you’ve ever been at, you’ve been dancing for an hour and a half, and then you’re just like ‘It’s time, ok. If I stay any longer, it’s gonna get ugly.’ It’s like, it’s time.”
Even though he had an opportunity to crossover, the actor decided to call it a night. “And on the way home, someone calls you and goes ‘THEY JUST PUT MICHAEL JACKSON ON! YOU GOTTA GET BACK HERE!’ And a little part of you goes, ‘I like Michael Jackson,’. But then you just go, I want to go to bed,” he told MTV.
Wolverine destroyed Hugh Jackman! Do you think it was a wise decision for him? Can Hugh Jackman’s Bad Education give him the fame and success that Wolverine did? We will find out once the movie goes live in 2020. But until then, it is undeniable that Hugh Jackman is the only true Wolverine. And that is the only role that overpowers all of his others.
