Warner Media has shared a glimpse of Wonder Woman 1984 ahead of its trailer release scheduled for December. The glimpse showcases Chris Pine revive his role as Steve Trevor after he supposedly sacrificed himself to save the world.

Diana Prince, a demigod, realized at the end of Wonder Woman that the purpose of Mankind on Earth is love, not war. This realization was mainly due to her newly found love for Steve Trevor. But Steve Trevor sacrificed his life helping Diana save the world or that’s what we thought. DC extended universe recently laid down the vision of the future from Wonder Woman 1984, but with a surprise. The surprise was – Steve Trevor’s return to the franchise. As if we didn’t see it coming. Really DC? Is that the best you got? Fans have been speculating – well they were almost sure – about Steve’s return to Wonder Woman ever since the release of Wonder Woman.
Those who were in doubt are now liberated from cogent evaluation about Steve’s return as it is now confirmed. However, the question is – How will Warner Media actually pull this off on-screen?
Here are some of the best theories which could turn into reality on-screen when Wonder Woman 1984 hits cinemas next year in June.
Steve Trevor actually died – but got resurrected
Wonder Woman is a universe where we talk magic all the time. An immortal warrior woman lives on an island that is bound by magic spells to protect a demigod and a robot box from space. In such a universe someone coming back to life is not particularly outlandish.
Resurrection is also a growing trend on-screen. Fans witnessed the revival of their favorite Game of Thrones character Jon Snow after he got several knives plunged into his chest. Wolverine gets killed and resurrected several times. Captain America was frozen for 75 years and then revived. In such a scenario, the revival of Steve Trevor doesn’t seem like that big a deal.
Perhaps, Diana can convince her father Zeus – the ruler of all Greek Gods – to spare the life of her love interest Steve Trevor. A probable gateway for Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 1984. Besides, Steve did a good deed when he sacrificed himself. Thus, maybe, he deserves to live.

Wonder Woman’s Enemies did something to distract her
When we talk about magic, it’s not limited to the good people. But the evil also carries similars powers. Hence, not only the gods but Wonder Woman’s enemies can also revive Steve. Now that Diana has realized her love for Steve, maybe her enemies can use that to distract her and take some sort of advantage.
Also, the working title of the movie is ‘Magic Hour’, which hints towards something major. Irrespective of the fact that Steve here is being revived by the devil forces, the significant aspect is that he is coming back to Wonder Woman 1984.
DC might not revive Steve Trevor after all
For the Wonder Woman fans, watching Diana rehash her romantic love with Steve Trevor is something to look forward to for Wonder Woman 1984. However, it might not turn into a reality on-screen after all.
It is possible that Warner Media brings Chris Pine to Wonder Woman 1984 in a dark role. An illusion created through magic. If that’s so, then fans won’t get to witness Diana romance Steve.

We all are looking forward to Steve Trevor’s return in Wonder Woman 1984, yet, till everything is certain you can get fancy on the stories below. Happy Reading!
