The launch of the Disney+ streaming service provided a platform that could almost serve as a dressing room for the big screens.
Introducing a new hero to the big screen often comes with a lot of ‘backstory’ baggage. One that often has to be properly blended so the main agenda of the movie doesn’t suffer. In Disney+, Marvel Studios has the perfect repository for developing all backstories required. Nonetheless, Marvel Head, Kevin Feige, has stated that actors on the Disney+ series would also appear in the movies.
